Verifying billing rate setup
You must make sure your primary and secondary rates are set up properly.
Primary rates
Verify that primary rates exist for the commodities that you will be invoicing. In the examples below, both primary line haul rates, 155 and 156 are based on the Freight (Volume) charge type.
Rate 155 is set up for hauling Gasoline.
Rate 156 is used for hauling Diesel fuel.
Secondary rates
Verify that the appropriate secondary rates exist and that they are attached to the primary rates you will be using. Rate 157 is an example of a secondary rate for hauling hazardous materials. It is attached to primary rates 155 and 156.
