Charge type system codes
Some charge types are a standard part of TMWSuite and are pre-loaded with the system. Such charge types are called system codes and cannot be deleted.
A sample system code is shown here. The red System Code text at the left side of the window indicates the charge type is a system code.
If you prefer not to use a system code, you can “retire” it by selecting the Retired check box, located at the far right of the window. Once retired, it remains on file, but no longer appears in the drop-down list for Charge Type fields. If needed, you can take retired items out of retirement by clearing the Retired check box.
The following table lists examples of primary (line haul) charge types that are system codes.

LHD | Freight (Distance) | Cents per mile for all miles traveled between billable stops |
LHO | Freight (Dist O-D) | Cents per mile for miles between origin and destination (miles traveled for interim stops are not considered) |
LHW | Freight (Weight) | Cents per hundred weight |
LHF | Freight (Flat) | Flat rate |
LHT | Freight (Time) | Dollars per hour |
LHC | Freight (Count) | Cents per piece, e.g., boxes, bushels, etc. |
LHV | Freight (Volume) | Cents per gallon |
LH | Freight (Default) | Not to be used on any rates; used as the system default for the line haul charge type on an order that has not yet been rated |
