Using hub miles for mileage-based line haul charges
By default, when a mileage-based rate is used to determine a billing charge, Invoicing uses the mileage determined by a third party mileage program. However, some TMW customers prefer to use hub miles instead. Hub miles are determined by the tractor odometer readings.
The following subsections describe how the system can be configured to do this.
Notes:
1. The hub miles feature does not distinguish between empty and loaded miles. All hub miles are used to determine a hub-based charge for an order.
2. Billing mileage-based accessorials according to hub miles is not supported.
3. Billing by hub miles is not supported for consolidated orders.
