The Axle Count row/column selection allows you to create pay rate tables based on the combined number of axles recorded for the assigned resources (tractor, trailer 1, and trailer 2). Axle Count is supported for primary, secondary, and line item rates.

When the trip is rated, the system goes to the profile of each piece of equipment assigned to the order: tractor, trailer 1, and trailer 2. From the Axles field in the profiles, it compiles the total number of axles for all equipment. Then it applies the rate that corresponds to that number of axles.
