Specifying a mileage interface in a rate schedule
For line haul pay that is based on $/mile, you can select the mileage interface on a rate-by-rate basis. To do this, you must:
Base the rate on a mileage-based pay type that has a Basis of Trip Segment.
Notes:
1. The Trip Segment Basis means the pay type is intended to be used for a line haul rate.
2. For mileage-based pay, the system code Route Pay typically is used.
Create a mileage-based rate in the Edit Settlement Rate Schedule Folder. In the Index Settings tab, you specify the mileage interface in the Miles to use field.
Note: The Mileage to use field is visible only when you use a mileage-based pay type that has a Basis of Trip Segment.
