How much data does a satellite image use?
When arriving at a location, CoPilot can display a satellite image to help a driver better understand their surroundings. The initial download of the satellite image uses an average of 3.1 MB of data per location. Once the image is downloaded, it is cached on the device for future use, and future views of the same location use only about 0.1 MB.
To display a satellite image during arrival, from the main menu:
-
Select Settings > Map Display & Guidance.
-
Scroll down and select Arrival Display.
-
Select Show Satellite. (The default setting is Show 3D Buildings.)
