Avoid the I-39 Bridge near Rockford, Illinois

The Illinois Department of Transportation has placed a 20-ton load limit and lane restrictions on the northbound side of the Interstate 39 bridge crossing the Kishwaukee River, south of Rockford. These restrictions will remain in effect until recently identified structural issues are repaired.

Trimble is in the process of updating its map data to include the new weight restriction and generate truck routes that avoid the affected bridge.

In the meantime, customers driving in this area can:

  • Create a closure in ContentTools for the northbound side of the bridge.
