Fuel Order Import/Export Interface
The Fuel Dispatch application can be integrated with Fuel Order Import/Export, a third-party fuel supply chain management software. The Fuel Order Import/Export functionality is included with the Trimble Web Products installation.
| Trimble strongly recommends this interface be configured and installed with the Trimble Web Products Implementation team. |
The Fuel Order Import/Export Interface consists of two parts.
-
The Order Import - A Web Service running in IIS (Internet Information Systems).
-
Status Update - A Windows Service that sends order status updates.
Order Import
Orders are created in Fuel Order Import/Export and sent to the Fuel Dispatch application through the IIS Web Service.
Key elements of the Order Import are:
-
Imports orders from Fuel Order Import/Export into Fuel Dispatch.
-
Orders are set to Available (AVL) status when received. The order Source in Fuel Dispatch is TELAFL.
-
Changes to an order’s pickup/drop locations and to the commodities and quantities must be made in Fuel Order Import/Export.
-
The driver or carrier is assigned in Fuel Dispatch.
-
Updates are accepted from Fuel Order Import/Export until the order is in a Started (STD) status in Fuel Dispatch.
-
Splash Blend order’s are supported.
Status Update
An order’s status update is sent to Fuel Order Import/Export through a Windows Service that runs every two (2) minutes.
| The default runtime is two (2) minutes. If you want it to be more often or less often, ask your Trimble Web Products Implementation specialist to change it for you. |
Key elements of the Status Update are:
-
Sends status updates of imported Fuel Dispatch orders to Fuel Order Import/Export.
-
Will only send status of orders created by the Order Import.
-
The default status updates supported are Dispatched (DSP), Completed (CMP), and Cancelled (CAN).
-
When the status of a Fuel Order Import/Export order changes to Dispatched (DSP), Completed (CMP), or Cancelled (CAN), an update is sent to Fuel Order Import/Export from the Status Update Windows service.
Configuration notes
You can set up the Fuel Order Import/Export Interface to best meet your business needs. Speak with your Trimble Web Products Implementation team for configuration options.
Your Trimble implementer can set up these features:
-
Turn on or turn off the sending of specific status messages.
-
Edit the text of sent messages.
For example, the Trimble status for Completed (CMP) is sent to Fuel Order Import/Export with a status of 'Delivered'.
