Using a maximum pay amount pay rate
When a rate having a maximum pay amount is applied to a pay detail during the rating process, the system determines if the pay detail will exceed the rate’s maximum pay amount. If the pay detail will exceed the maximum, the system applies the rate’s maximum. The following example illustrates the process the system uses to apply a rate having a maximum pay amount. This illustration shows the primary pay rate #786, which is set up for weight-based pay. Notice that 200 is recorded in the Max. Pay field. Also, notice that the rate is set up to pay $0.33 per 100 pounds.
Rate #786 is set up to pay a maximum of $200.00 per pay detail.
