Creating time-based charge types
You must have at least one time-based primary charge type for your hourly line haul rates. For these examples, we used the charge type Freight (Time), which is a system code. If you prefer to create your own charge type for primary rates, set up the Basis, Unit Basis, Charge Units, and Rate Unit fields as shown here.
To bill a different hourly charge for billable empty events, you must set up accessorial charge type(s). Use the examples below to create these charge types.
Begin empty
To bill separately for begin empty time, create a charge type as shown here.
End empty
To bill separately for end empty time, create a charge type as shown here.
All empty time (begin and end empty combined)
To combine hours for begin empty and end empty time, create a charge type as shown here.
