Setting up minimum charges for a row or column
If a primary or accessorial rate schedule has a charge type that is based on a quantity (i.e., miles, volume, count, weight, or percent of revenue), you can set up flat rate minimum charges for an entire row or column in the rate table. This capability is supported for tables that have:
A row that is based on quantity and a column that is not quantity-related (e.g., Bill To, origin state, commodity, etc.).
A column that is based on quantity and a row that is not quantity-related (e.g., Bill To, origin state, commodity, etc.)
Notes:
1. This feature is not supported for a table where both a row and a column are quantity-related.
2. If a rate table consists of only a row or only a column, use the Min Chg field in the rate header to set a minimum charge.
