How the system applies region definition restrictions
For our example, we have two rates for our Bill To, BAKBAK. Rate #227, does not use Region as a restriction. Rate #226, shown here, uses the regions CA and OR as a restriction. We created this rate to give our customer a price break on trips starting in California and ending in Oregon.
Order 954 is billable to BAKBAK. The trip starts in Bakersfield, California, and ends in Portland, Oregon. During rating, the system determines that rate 226 is specific to orders for this Bill To and for trips starting in California and ending in Oregon. A line haul charge of $1.75 per mile is applied.
