Setting up a rate header > Required entries for a single per unit amount
Required entries for a single per unit amount
If a single per unit amount is to be applied by the rate, the rate header looks like this:
Entries are required in these fields:
Pay Type
The pay type determines the type of calculation that the system will use to determine pay when the rate is applied. The Unit and RateUnit fields in the header are set automatically according to the unit of measure on which the pay type is based.
Rate
The amount in the Rate field will be multiplied by the unit of measure on which the pay type is based. In the example shown above, the pay type is set up as a flat rate. Therefore, a flat $15.00 will be applied for Inspection pay. However, suppose you choose Route Pay as the pay type. Route Pay is based on a per-mile unit of measure. Therefore, if you enter $.32 in the Rate field, the system will multiply the number of miles by $.32 per mile.
