Permanent Time Zones in Canada: Action Required for Some Customers
Several Canadian jurisdictions are moving to permanent time on or before November 1st, 2026.
While most Canadian provinces and territories will continue to observe the seasonal daylight savings time change, several regions are expected to remain on daylight time year-round.
These changes will affect Trimble Transportation customers in various ways. Many customers will need to work with Support to upgrade their products or install a provided patch.
Without this update, your Trimble TMS may calculate times incorrectly for affected Canadian regions after November 1st, 2026. This can result in one-hour discrepancies, incorrect EDI time codes, and incorrect time handling in customs submissions and connected systems.
Please see our Permanent Time Zone article for specific instructions based on your Trimble product and version.
