Enter a Service type or use search to bring up a Service type dialogue box. For example, REGULAR or RUSH.
Movement Type
Use the item list and make a selection from the following movement type options: Import, Export, Domestic Inbound (Dom IB), Domestic Outbound (Dom OB), Empty Reposition, Other, or Intermodal Marketing Company (IMC).
Note: Setting the movement type for all options except Empty Repo and Other changes the detail information fields which appear in the panel below the Movement Type item list.

Client Codes
There are several client-based selection fields available on the Intermodal tab, depending on the Movement Type selected. These Client fields (Caller, Pickup, Delivery, etc.) have error-checking where invalid client ID's do not appear in the edit-picks. Errors are generated if you try to save Intermodal changes with an invalid client in one of these fields.
The Caller field is valid only if it is an Active client with Caller or Bill To selected in Customer Profiles program > Address tab > Client Is section. The remaining client-based fields are valid only if the chosen client is an Active client with Shipper and Consignee selected in the Customer Profiles program > Address tab > Client Is section. Both of these checks are required as these fields can be used as both the Shipper on one Intermodal movement and the Consignee on another.
Chassis Pickup / Termination
Often, the pickup (on export) or delivery (on import) location of the chassis is the same as that of the empty container. To allow for these of situations, TruckMate allows you to set the chassis and container locations as the same Zone Code, and will not generate an associated Freight Bill. More specifically, an Intermodal Bill will not be created in the following situations:
A chassis pickup on an import if Chassis Pick Zone = Pickup Zone.
A chassis pickup on an export if Chassis Pick Zone = Empty Org Zone.
A chassis termination on an import if Empty Disp Zone = Chassis Term Zone.
A chassis termination if Chassis Term Zone = Destination Zone.
