Edit price tables

Load a price table

To load a price table:

  1. Go to Menu > Setup > Order Setup > Price Tables.
    For versions earlier than V. 2020.2, go to Menu > Setup > Price Tables.
    The Price Table page opens.

  2. In the Table Type field, select the needed table type.

  3. In the Select Price Table field, select the needed table.

The price table’s information is displayed on the Price Tables page.

Change the price table’s name

  1. Load a price table. The Parts tab is displayed by default.

  2. In the Price Table Information section, enter the new name in the Description field.

  3. Select Save.

Change the markup type

You can perform these steps on the Parts, Labor, Services, Vendor Charges, and Fuel Tickets tabs.

To change the markup type:

  1. Load a price table. The Parts tab is displayed by default.

  2. Select the needed tab, such as Labor or Services. The tab opens to display its information.

  3. In the Information section, do one of the following:

    • Switch from cost or component markups to a flat markup.
      Select Use Flat Markup. The Percentage field is enabled and the Cost Markup and Component Markup sections are inactive.

    • Switch from a flat markup to cost or component markups.
      Select Use Flat Markup. The Percentage field is inactive and the Cost Markup and Component Markup sections are enabled.

  4. Select Save.

  5. Follow any needed steps in the Setting up price tables section.

Edit the cost basis, minimum labor hours, or flat rate percentage

To edit the cost basis, minimum labor hours, or flat rate percentage:

  1. Load a price table. The Parts tab is displayed by default.

    You can perform these steps on the Parts, Labor, Services, Vendor Charges, and Fuel Tickets tabs.

  2. Select the needed tab. The tab opens to display its information.

  3. In the Information section, make changes to the Cost Basis, Min Labor Hours (Labor tab only), and Percentage (flat markup rates only) fields as needed.

  4. Select Save.

Edit the cost markup

To edit the cost basis, minimum labor hours, or flat rate percentage:

  1. Load a price table. The Parts tab is displayed by default.

    You can perform these steps from the Parts, Labor, Services, Vendor Charges, and Fuel Tickets (Invoice price tables only) tabs.

  2. Select the needed tab. The tab opens to display its information.

  3. In the Cost Markup section, select the cost markup you want to change.

  4. Select Edit. The Edit Cost Markup window opens.

  5. Make changes as needed.

  6. Select OK. Your changes are displayed in the Cost Markup section.

Edit the component markup

  1. Load a price table. The Parts tab is displayed by default.

    You can perform these steps from the Parts, Labor, Services, Vendor Charges, and Fuel Tickets (Invoice price tables only) tabs.

  2. Select the needed tab. The tab opens to display its information.

  3. In the Component Markup section, select the component markup you want to change.

  4. Select Edit. The Edit Component Markup window opens.

    Note: You cannot change the Component field. If you want to change this field, you must remove this component and add the new component.

  5. In the Markup Percent field, make changes as needed.

  6. Select OK. Your changes are displayed in the Component Markup section.

Update miscellaneous fees

  1. Load a price table. The Parts tab is displayed by default.

  2. Select the Misc Fees tab. The tab opens to display its information.

  3. In the Misc Fees Information section, make changes as needed.

  4. In the Fee Calculation section, make changes as needed.

    Note: For details on individual fields, see Misc Fees tab.

  5. Select Save.

Remove price markups from price tables

  1. Load a price table. The Parts tab is displayed by default.

  2. Select the Parts, Labor, Services, Vendor Charges, or Fuel Tickets tab as needed.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • Remove cost price markups

      1. In the Cost Markup section, select the cost markup to remove.

      2. Select Delete. The Delete Cost Markup message window opens. It asks, "Are you sure you want to delete the cost markup field?"

      3. Select Delete Cost Markup.
        The cost markup is removed.

    • Remove component markups.

      1. In the Component Markup section, select the cost markup to remove.

      2. Select Delete.
        The Delete Component Markup message window opens. It asks, " Are you sure you want to delete the component markup field?"

      3. Select Delete Component Markup The component markup is removed.

Deactivate a price table

  1. Go to Menu > Setup > Order Setup > Price Tables.
    For versions earlier than V. 2020.2, go to Menu > Setup > Price Tables.
    The Price Tables page opens.

  2. In the Table Type field, select the price table type.

  3. In the Select Price Table field, select the needed price table. The price table’s information is displayed on the Price Tables page.

  4. Select Deactivate. The Deactivate Price Table message window opens. It asks, "Are you sure you want to deactivate the price table Table Name?"

  5. Select Deactivate Price Table.

    Note: If the price table is linked to a Masters page, the program will display the error message "Price table cannot be deactivated. Unlink from masters below." The Masters table below the error message lists the master page or pages the price table is linked to. Once you clear the price table from those pages, you can deactivate the price table.
