How the system calculates total billable and non-billable time for split trips
The Total Trip (TRIP) calculation method allows you to calculate total time for all loaded and billable empty events. For split trips, the time for non-billable events is subtracted from the total trip time. Using the Total Trip method, the system calculates:
Total trip time from the arrival at the Billable Begin Empty (IBMT) event to the departure from the Billable End Empty (IEMT) event.
Non-billable time from the arrival at the Drop Loaded Trailer (DLT) event to the departure from the Hook Loaded Trailer (HLT) event.
Total time billed as the total trip time minus the non-billable time.
