Street names not announced

You must have a text-to-speech (TTS) engine installed on your device in order for CoPilot to announce street names during navigation. Otherwise, audio guidance will only include directions, such as "turn right."

To check whether CoPilot is using a TTS engine, go to Settings > Regional & Voices in the CoPilot app and select your language.

  • If you do not see a TTS engine listed, you will need to install one on your device. (On Android devices, you can download a TTS engine from the Google Play Store, such as Google TTS.)

  • If you do have a TTS engine installed but CoPilot is not using it, you may need to select it.
