Restricting the rate list
Over time, many rates may be created for some companies. By default, when you access the Quotes tab, the Quotes grid shows all of them. The restriction fields to the right of the grid allow you to narrow down the list. The system compares the entries you make in those fields with the entries made in the rates, and reduces the list to rates that match.
To use the restriction fields, do the following:
After you make entries, click Load Quotes in the lower right of the screen. This triggers the system to search for rates that match your restrictions.
To clear all restrictions, click Reset in the lower right of the screen. The system retrieves all rates.
There are four restriction tabs: General, Rev/Trip Types, Equipment, and Ranges.

Their names match the tabs on the Quotes window where they were created or can be viewed. Each of the tabs also has the same fields as those on the Quotes window.

From and to
Expire and Created Date check box
The check box determines which dates the system uses when it searches for rates using dates that you enter. Regardless of whether the box is selected or not, the system will always search for:
Rates that have a From and/or To effective date that falls within that date range
Active rates that span that date range; i.e. their From date is before the first date in your date range, and their To date is after the last date in your date range.
The check box gives you the ability to expand your search. If you select it, in addition to the rates listed above, the system will search for rates that were created during that date range. To determine whether or not to retrieve a rate, it uses the (tar_creatdate) on the tariffheader.
