Using the Activities tab for a particular company
If you are working with a particular company, you can access those activities scheduled regarding them. This is especially helpful if you have been assigned to a company with which you are not familiar. All activities for the company are listed, even those to which you are not assigned.
The columns in the list show the same data as the fields in the Activity Details window. The field names are the same or similar, with these exceptions:
C (Activity status)
If the check box is selected, it is Complete.
If the check box is blank, it is Open, Cancelled, or On Hold.
P (Priority)
A colored pawn symbol indicates the priority of the activity.
Red - High
Green - Normal
Yellow - Low
White - Any other priority
Displaying the activities for a company
You can see the activities for a particular company and, if it is a child company, you can also include the activities of the parent company or other child companies of the parent.
1. From the list of companies in the lower left of the window, select the company.
The Company tab moves to the front
2. Click on the Activities sub-tab.
3. If you want to limit the number of activities that display, you can set filter restrictions.
a. Select any of the restrictions fields.
Assigned
ID of the CSR assigned to handle this activity.
Status
The current status of the activity. Default options are:
Complete
Open
Cancelled
On Hold
Activity Date
The start and end dates of a range. The default range is 30 days back and 30 days forward from the current date. You can enter different dates or click the calendar icon to select dates.
Include Parent
When a child company is selected, select this check box to include the activities for the parent company.
Include Parent w/Children
When a child company is selected, select this check box to include the activities for the parent company and any other child companies of that parent.
Type 1-4
User-definable task types to tag the activity with additional data that can be used for searching or reporting.
b. Click Load Activities for Company xxx with Restrictions.
4. If you want to change the filter restrictions, click Reset Activity Restrictions, and then repeat Step 3.
Scheduling a new activity
You can schedule a new activity for the company by clicking New Activity for Company xxx.
The company's address and contact information automatically populates the fields in the Activity Details window.
