About the D2Link App

D2Link® is a mobile app that allows commercial vehicle drivers to:

  • Send and receive messages.

  • Manage load assignments.

  • Transfer stop details and vehicle location data with dispatchers.

  • Use geofencing to automatically flag arrivals and departures.

  • Use mobile imaging to capture signatures, images, and other important information.

Some features are optional. Some depend on your device type. Some depend on the network carrier policies and network services. Some need you to install a specific navigation app. Some require Trimble software licenses.

The D2Link app:

  • Is available for Android OS and Apple iOS devices.

  • Is frequently updated on the Google Play Store and in the App Store.

The release notes contain a complete list of hardware and software requirements, including compatible versions.

Differences between D2Link versions

Two different D2Link apps are available for Android OS and iOS device users.

TMW® D2Link

This is the original D2Link app. Trimble Transportation will not release enhancements for this app. However, we will release bug fixes.

Trimble strongly recommends that you contact your system administrator or customer service representative before you upgrade to a new D2Link app.

This is the latest D2Link app. It replaces the original TMW-version app. To use this app, make sure that your systems meet the requirements in the release notes for this app version.
