Working with activities in Outlook
If your CRM calendar is
synchronized with your Outlook calendar, you can work with your activities in Outlook.
Note: Activities that are completed show in the CRM calendar with strikethrough text. Completed activities will continue to show in Outlook. No special formatting will distinguish them from incomplete activities.
What do you want to see?
Responding to Outlook reminders
When your calendar is synchronized with Outlook, it will display reminders for any CRM activities that were created to use reminders. Respond to the reminders as you would normally do in Outlook.
Updating an activity
From Outlook, you can open an activity and change its:
• Subject
• Due date/time
• Description
• End date/time
• Reminder settings
Notes:
1. If an activity is completed, you must mark it as such in CRMRight. You cannot complete an activity in Outlook.
2. In the CRM calendar, completed activities show in strikethrough text. No special formatting is available in Outlook to distinguish completed activities from incomplete activities.
3. When you update an activity in Outlook, your Outlook Trust Center settings may cause a warning to appear when the data from Outlook refreshes activities in CRMRight.
Show me
Click Allow to permit the activity update to refresh the data in CRMRight. Alternatively, your system administrator may opt to disable the Outlook Programmatic Access Security setting Warn me about suspicious activity when my antivirus software is inactive or out-of-date (recommended).
Deleting an activity
From Outlook, you can delete an activity that is no longer needed. It will be removed from CRMRight. Delete the activity as you would normally do in Outlook.
