Integration options: Innovative (IES)

This section contains Innovative (IES) integration options. Changes made to these options affect how TMT Fleet Maintenance interacts with third-party applications.

If you make incorrect changes to these options, you may alter how the system integrates with that application. Trimble recommends that you contact your system administrator before making changes.

To open the Integration Options page, go to Menu > Setup > Options > Integration Options.

IES: AMS_WEBSERVICE

This option must be completed for the interface to operate.

Accounting URL

Applies to

Description

The Accounting URL is a URL string value. It represents:

  • The name of the machine where you have the Windows Service installed

  • The available port number that the program should use to send the data.

If this value is changed, you should restart the TMT Fleet Maintenance IES Service.

These options track accounting numbers between divisions/companies.

Description

Controls queries for Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) transactions

Options

  • NO (default)

    The program does not run different queries at the same time. It runs them individually.

  • YES

    The program runs different queries at the same time. If you select YES, you can then set these additional options:

  • Max Query Concurrency Level
    This option sets how many queries run at the same time. The default value is 4.

  • Query Batch Size
    This option sets how many records are included in a batch. The default value is 300.

  • GetData Batch Size
    This option sets the maximum transactions the application takes from the database at once when you select Get Data. many records are included in a batch. The default value is 3000.

How the Enable AP, AR, GL Query Concurrency YES options work together

Assume you have set the query concurrency to YES and that you have kept the default values for these options:

  • Max Query Concurrency Level: 4.

  • Query Batch Size: 300.

  • GetData Batch Size: 3000.

When you are on one of the Accounting pages and select Get Data, the program will you have export 3000 total transactions in record batches of 300 records each, while processing a maximum of 4 batches at once.

IES: CUSTOMER TYPE XREF

This option cross-references customer types.

IES: Customer Type Cross Reference

Applies to

TMT Fleet Maintenance

Description

This option lets you cross-reference the owner/operator and standard customer types with an accounts receivable (AR) transaction export method. These settings control how the program sends transactions through the Innovative interface.

Options

For each customer type, you can select one Export AR Transactions As setting.

Note: Before V.2022.1, the Export AR Transactions As option was known as External Value.

The Export AR Transactions As settings are:

  • GENERAL LEDGER ONLY
    First available in TMT Fleet Maintenance V.2022.1

    This setting lets you export AR transactions to the general ledger (GL) service. The AR preview page still shows these orders, but they are exported as GL items.

    • The program does not create a receivable header (due bill). It creates GL disbursement transactions.

    • The transaction does not go through the customer validation process. That data is not being sent.

  • OWNER/OPER (Owner/Operator)

    The program exports OWNER/OPER transactions as settlements. A settlement deduction is added to the owner/operator’s account.

  • STANDARD

    The program exports STANDARD transactions as normal AR transactions:

    • The program creates a receivable header for the customer

    • GL disbursement transactions are created.

    • The transaction goes through the customer validation process.

Additional notes

When you upgrade to V.2022.1, the program will update any data from the old External Value option. Any value other than STANDARD or OWNER/OPER will be set to NULL.

IES: EQUIPMENT XREF

This option cross-references equipment types.

IES: Equipment Cross Reference

Description

This option lets you cross-reference Trimble equipment and Innovative external values. These settings control how the program sends equipment references through the Innovative interface.

Options

For each equipment type, you can enter only one External Value setting.

  • Equipment

    TMT provides the values in this read-only column based on your setup.

  • External Value

    Enter your Innovative value in this box.

  • Description

    TMT provides the values in this read-only column based on your setup.

IES: IES_WEBSERVICE

TMT Fleet Maintenance uses each of the values on the IES_WEBSERVICE page to connect to the Innovative Accounting program. Get the values from the Innovative team. Select Save when you are completed.

Note: Trimble recommends that you restart the Windows Service once you have entered in the correct values.

These fields control how TMT Fleet Maintenance connects to the Innovative Accounting program.

Sending the order ID to IES makes reconciliation easier. This is because the order ID is usually shorter, so it is less likely to be cut off. You can find the exact order that TMT sent to IES.

Exclude AR Invoice Type Prefix

Send Unit Availability Status

Description

Controls whether the program sends unit status data to IES.

Options

  • NO (default)
    The program does not send unit status to IES.

  • YES
    The program does send unit status to IES.
    Data is sent only for units having these statuses:

    • Available
      The program looks at staged orders to identify this status. Staged orders are cleared after the program sends the status to IES.

    • In Shop
      To determine if a unit is In-Shop, the program queries the unit’s repair status. It looks for orders that are open and whose data is not staged.

The service determines the availability of units.

IES: XREF

The XREF section of the IES Integration options is where you cross-reference the company divisions you set up in TMT with their corresponding Innovative IES Accounting divisions. If you only have one company division you will still need to do this. The IES Company code provided by Innovative.

You set up TMT company divisions on the System Setup page. You open the System Setup page by going to Menu > Setup > System Setup. Next, you expand the System node and select Company Divisions.
IES: XREF
Company Cross References

Applies to

Description

This option lets you cross-reference TMT (AMS) divisions, account codes, and AMS account companies with their Innovative (IES) counterparts.

Options

To edit a row, select it. The row’s background color changes to blue. The fields that you can edit also become available.

  • AMS Division
    This field is read-only. The selections are based on your setup.

  • AMS Acct. Code
    Select an account code from the drop-down list. These selections are also based on your setup.

  • AMS Acct. Company
    TMT completes this field for you based on your selected AMS Acct. Code.

  • IES Company
    Enter the IES Company code. Innovative provides you with the company code to use.
