Does the load algorithm impact DirectRoute optimization?

No. Optimization occurs after the Route is built.

Optimization always works in the same manner regardless of the load algorithm that you select in Preferences > Algorithm Settings > Algorithm.

DirectRoute reviews the routing data to look for options that allow Stops to be moved within or between Routes to return a lower-cost routing solution while considering:

  • penalty factors

  • time windows

  • work time

  • etc
