Using layouts to add security and control user actions
CRMRight allows system administrators to modify layouts for windows, data grids, and menus. Designing layouts, saving them, and assigning them to users, allow you to control what users can see and edit.
When you design a menu/toolbar layout, you can
Add or remove menu options or toolbar icons.
Change the viewing size of toolbar icons.
Reposition menus or toolbars.
Save the menu settings separately, or as part of the window layout.
Include customized menu settings with the window layout.
When you design a window layout, you can
Add to or hide fields from the window.
Apply security to fields or parts of windows by making them read-only or hidden.
Make data entry efficient by moving fields or changing the tabbing order.
Add, reposition, or remove detail tabs.
Save menu settings as part of the window layout.
When you design a data grid layout, you can
Show only the columns that apply to your business.
Reposition columns to allow users to see data in a logical order.
Apply default sorts and filters so that data is ready for review immediately upon users' access.
Make data entry columns read-only or hidden.
Use condition equations to cause a field to be read only when certain conditions are met in another field of the same record.
Add conditional formatting to columns.
