Requirements

Before you begin installing TMW Operations version 2025.1, check that these requirements are met:

  • TMWSuite®
You must be using TMWSuite V. 2025.1.

  • TMW Back Office
If you are using TMW Back Office, your version of TMW Operations must be the same as your version of TMW Back Office.

  • Microsoft® .NET Framework
.NET Framework 4.6.2 or later (full package not client)

The framework must be installed on the TMW Operations server, client, and administrator systems before you install TMW Operations. If it is not present, the system displays an advisory message during the installation. Install the framework before running the application.

  • Internet Information Services (IIS) for Microsoft Windows Server®
IIS Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 or later

  • Microsoft SQL Server®

    • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or later

Note: SQL Server 2016, SQL Server 2017, SQL Server 2019, and SQL Server 2022 are certified for use with this application. Trimble Transportation recommends using the latest service pack of whichever version you use.

  • You must be logged into the system where you want to install TMW Operations, and have administrator rights for that system.
Like most applications, TMW Operations can be installed locally on a user’s system. It is also possible to install TMW Operations on a network drive. To do so, you must be logged into the system where the drive is physically located, and have administrator rights for that system.

  • SQL Server System Administrator rights are necessary.
The installation of TMW Operations includes the manual application of a SQL script to the TMWSuite database. You must have a SQL Server administrator login and password to apply it.

  • PC*Miler®
    Certified with PC*Miler v.38

  • TruETA Preplanning
You must have these Trimble Web Products and modules installed:

Enhancements

Shift Assignments

New fields added to Shift Optimization Review (TTESUITE-209735)

Added a feature which lets you add the Leg Type 1-4 fields in the Recommended Assignments grid.
Note: The fields can be added/removed using Field Chooser.

Trip Planner

Driver Swap Warning for infeasible loads (TTESUITE-210079)

When swapping shift trips between two drivers, it was possible to automatically extend a driver’s shift if the shift length was not long enough without the system warning of the shift being extended. Now, a warning message will be added to the list of Validation Messages to inform the user when this scenario is about to occur. Note: The warning message does not prevent the shift trips from being swapped between the two drivers, it is only informational.

Resolved issues

Application SQL

  • TTESUITE-211761

OPTIMIZE_FOR_SEQUENTIAL_KEY index option was removed from the PlannedRoute table creation script.

Extra Information window

  • TTESUITE-210353

When launching the stand-alone Extra Information application window from a hyperlink in TMW Operations, the Extra Information window will no longer do a version check. We do not update the version for the stand-alone Extra Information window.
Note: The fix is included in the TMWSuite 2025.1 release.

Planning Worksheet

  • TTESUITE-205713

The Save Layout button in the Grid Layout Permissions window is now always enabled. If there is a board layout without a view name, a message will display with focus returned to the first row needing attention. For non-board defined layouts such as the Stops grid in the Trip Folder, no difference in behavior occurs.

Trip Folder

  • TTESUITE-211349

Fixed an issue where an exception error was thrown when the user clicked into a Filter Row field in the Trip Folder’s TotalMail Messages grid in the TM Messages tab.

  • TTESUITE-211376

Fixed logic in the Trip Folder’s Copy Order/Trip feature that prevented the copying of assets if they were only on the second leg.

  • TTESUITE-211402

Blocked an unwanted Trip Folder screen layout change when double-clicking an order in the Planning Worksheet (for specific conditions).

  • TTESUITE-211533

Fixed an issue that blocked access to the Compute Pay button in the Trip Folder’s Profit and Loss tab for certain steps.

Trip Planner

  • TTESUITE-210979

A fix was made to display a message when another user has edited a leg when an update fails, due to the data being modified after last retrieval. The Record locking functionality has been improved in the Trip Planner.
If you use the tts50.ini setting [Misc] RecordLocking=Y, when assigning a leg (dragging a trip to a cell), all movements associated with the legs currently assigned to a driver are record locked prior to the assignment.
If any movement is locked, a message will display prompting who has the leg locked and the assignment will not occur. Quick edit will also now attempt to record lock the movement associated with the leg being edited. A LockInfo property has been added to the assigned legs cells that displays record lock status for movement associated with leg.
