Warnings

Installing over a telemetry-enabled version

If you install V.2025.2 over an older version of TMW Operations that has telemetry enabled without first uninstalling the older version, you may experience application crashes. This issue has been resolved in V.2025.3.

Requirements

Before you begin installing TMW Operations version 2025.2, check that these requirements are met:

  • TMWSuite®
You must be using TMWSuite V. 2025.2.

  • TMW Back Office
If you are using TMW Back Office, your version of TMW Operations must be the same as your version of TMW Back Office.

  • Microsoft® .NET Framework
.NET Framework 4.6.2 or later (full package not client)

The framework must be installed on the TMW Operations server, client, and administrator systems before you install TMW Operations. If it is not present, the system displays an advisory message during the installation. Install the framework before running the application.

  • Internet Information Services (IIS) for Microsoft Windows Server®
IIS Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 or later

  • Microsoft SQL Server®

    • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or later

Note: SQL Server 2016, SQL Server 2017, SQL Server 2019, and SQL Server 2022 are certified for use with this application. Trimble Transportation recommends using the latest service pack of whichever version you use.

  • You must be logged into the system where you want to install TMW Operations, and have administrator rights for that system.
Like most applications, TMW Operations can be installed locally on a user’s system. It is also possible to install TMW Operations on a network drive. To do so, you must be logged into the system where the drive is physically located, and have administrator rights for that system.

  • SQL Server System Administrator rights are necessary.
The installation of TMW Operations includes the manual application of a SQL script to the TMWSuite database. You must have a SQL Server administrator login and password to apply it.

  • PC*Miler®
    Certified with PC*Miler v.38

  • TruETA Preplanning
You must have these Trimble Web Products and modules installed:

Enhancements

Company Planner

New column added to Company Carrier grid (TTESUITE-211537)

Added Carrier Manager as a grid column and optional filter to the Company Carriers grid in Company Planner.

Trip Folder

Driver Hours Of Service (HOS) availability (TTESUITE-210132)

Added a HOS control "DriverHOSRemainingControl” to the Trip Folder. The control provides the ability to add a display of the Hours of Service (HOS) for the driver selected on the active leg within the Trip Info tab. This lets you quickly see the available time left for the driver for that day.
Also, the Planning Worksheet Inbound tab now includes Driver1HOS and Driver2HOS columns. It displays the Daily/Shift/Cycle. The Driver tab display also includes the same DriverHOS column.

Note: To add the HOS control, Right-click Toggle Quickdesigner > Add New Item and select the new control type. Select Controller under Field Group and Leg (IDispatchLegFull) under Field.

Trip Planner

Add new fields to the Driver Swap window (TTESUITE-211839)

Added driver and swap driver first and last name information to the Swap Shifts window available from the Trip Planner.
These read-only fields were added to the Driver Shifts data grid:

  • Driver First Name

  • Driver Last Name

  • Swap Driver Name

  • Swap Driver First Name

  • Swap Driver Last Name

Note: The fields can be added or removed using Field Chooser.

TruETA

Hours of Service (TTESUITE-211644)

TruETA currently returns estimated drive hours remaining and cycle hours remaining alongside ETAs, but this data is not currently stored in TMWSuite. Going forward, Trimble will change the TruETA integration to store those values for the leg. These estimated remaining hours will be available in the Inbound tab of the Planning Worksheet alongside the driver’s current remaining hours.

Also, if the new Config setting is used, the RemainingDrive time and RemainingCycleTime values from a Driver’s recent TruETA solution will be used in the TDA optimization HOS hours for the Driver.

Resolved issues

Driver Profile

  • TTESUITE-210501

In the schedule edit/Generate Schedule, overridden changes to max shift dispatches will no longer update the Driver Profile.

EDI

  • TTESUITE-70136

Fixed an issue where accepting a pending EDI order was incorrectly updating the order status to complete if the order was created from a master order.

EDI Planning Worksheet

  • TTESUITE-211109

The EDI Planning Worksheet now properly applies the user’s filter (set using the Restrict button) to the Trips and EDI grids when the user includes more than 21 BillTo’s (was previously only using the first 21).

ExpertFuel

  • TTESUITE-209922

Previously, if EFIncludeOpenStopsOnly=Y in the General Info Table, ExpertFuel only included lat/long information from check calls for the origin location. The Origin object does not support lat/long.
Now, ExpertFuel includes city/state/ZIP information if it exists in the check call.

Trip Folder

  • TTESUITE-158887

When TruETA is installed and implemented you currently only get TruETA data for the first leg on a trip. Now, you will also get TruETA data for any successive legs on split trips.

  • TTESUITE-211845

When saving in the Trip Folder, if the save fails due to a trip being modified by another process, the warnings/errors dialog will now display. Previously, no notification would be made other than the warnings/errors notification label indicating an error is present.

  • TTESUITE-212147

Performance has been enhanced when opening a trip in the Trip Folder, particularly when the trip contains multiple cross-dock stops.

Trimble Dispatch Advisor

  • TTESUITE-212120

TDA will now receive the On Duty hours for the current date, for the purpose of determining optimal loads. Prior to this change, TDA received only the current days Driving hours.

Trip Planner

  • TTESUITE-211940

Fixed an issue where the calculation of empty miles was ignoring Bobtail events.
