Requirements

Before you begin installing TMW Operations version 2025.3, check that these requirements are met:

  • TMWSuite®
You must be using TMWSuite V. 2025.3.

  • TMW Back Office
If you are using TMW Back Office, your version of TMW Operations must be the same as your version of TMW Back Office.

  • Microsoft® .NET Framework
.NET Framework 4.6.2 or later (full package not client)

The framework must be installed on the TMW Operations server, client, and administrator systems before you install TMW Operations. If it is not present, the system displays an advisory message during the installation. Install the framework before running the application.

  • Internet Information Services (IIS) for Microsoft Windows Server®
IIS Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or later

  • Microsoft SQL Server®

    • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later

Note: SQL Server 2016, SQL Server 2017, SQL Server 2019, and SQL Server 2022 are certified for use with this application. Trimble Transportation recommends using the latest service pack of whichever version you use.

  • You must be logged into the system where you want to install TMW Operations, and have administrator rights for that system.
Like most applications, TMW Operations can be installed locally on a user’s system. It is also possible to install TMW Operations on a network drive. To do so, you must be logged into the system where the drive is physically located, and have administrator rights for that system.

  • SQL Server System Administrator rights are necessary.
The installation of TMW Operations includes the manual application of a SQL script to the TMWSuite database. You must have a SQL Server administrator login and password to apply it.

  • PC*Miler®
    Certified with PC*Miler v.38

  • TruETA Preplanning
You must have these Trimble Web Products and modules installed:

Enhancements

Freight Board Interface

Posting trucks (TTESUITE-206067)

Previously, trucks could not be posted to the freight board vendor DAT through TTC in Freight Board Interface. Now, trucks can be posted to DAT through TTC.

Route Planner

Feature added to TMW Operations (TTESUITE-209243)

The Route Planner feature gives users the ability to create a route using available orders and planning them in succession using a Gantt chart. Once a route is created, users can drag and drop assets (driver, tractor, trailer) on to the route. When a route is created the system will automatically cascade the start and end times of each order based on the system configuration settings. As users assign assets, the system will automatically insert necessary deadhead activity. This feature also allows for manually dispatching single routes, batch dispatching multiple one-time routes, swapping one-time routes among drivers, and canceling single one-time routes.

Shift Assignments

View lghType1 (TTESUITE-212350)

Added the Leg Type 1-4 fields to the Recommended Assignments Stops grid in the Shift Optimization Review window.

Note: The fields can be added/removed using Field Chooser.

TMW Data Exchange

Integrate the Tender Evaluation service into the TMW Data Exchange 204 import process (TTESUITE-209032)

Perform a Tender Evaluation request during the TMW Data Exchange 204 import process when licensed, configured, and enabled.

Trip Folder

DRL stop events at the same Stop Location Company should ignore trailer logic (TTESUITE-209513)

Previously, when consolidating multiple orders together in the Trip Folder, the system did not ignore the trailer logic when there were multiple DRL (Drop Loaded) stop events at the same stop location company.
Now, a TTS50 setting [Asset Assignment] TrailerLinkCMPStops (Default=N) has been added. When the setting is set to Y the system will link stops with the same event/Company/sequential stops as one drop for Trailer management purposes.

Resolved issues

Application telemetry

  • TTESUITE-212542

When installing versions 2025.2 of TMW Operations and/or TMW Back Office over an earlier version that had telemetry enabled, the application would close when certain windows were opened.

Trip Folder

  • TTESUITE-211389

Updated Microsoft.ReportViewer.*.dll to 15.0.1652.0 which closes the Report Viewer properly and releases memory when closed.
