Cross reference for a system unit number. It allows you to enter a prefix and the unit number to return a specific unit number.

For example, if you set the Unit Prefix to 41 and the Dedicated Unit Number is 3000, then the user is able to enter either 3000 or 41-3000 in any Unit ID or Unit Search field, and it returns the record for unit 3000.

Note: For the autocross functionality of the unit prefix to work, the Units Autocross Prefix Application Option must be set to YES.

Cross reference for a system unit number

For example, if you set unit 3000’s Dedicated Unit Number to DM01, you will then be able to enter 3000 or DM01 in the Unit ID or Unit Search fields, and it returns the record for unit 3000.

The Dedicated Unit Number field will not allow you to have duplicate Dedicated Unit Numbers, i.e. no two units can have the same Dedicated Unit Number.

Note: For the autocross functionality of the dedicated unit number to work, the Units Autocross Dedicated Unit Number Application Option must be set to YES.
