Unit User Fields tab

The Unit User Fields tab shows the user-defined fields (UDFs) that have been set up for the selected unit. User-defined fields are a way to capture information about an item that the standard TMT Fleet Maintenance fields do not provide.

Since user-defined fields are unique to the organization that create them, there are no standard fields on this page. Example fields include items such as Body Color, Driver Name, MPG Rating, and so on.

You set up user-defined fields with the User Fields page, or you can edit them immediately by selecting Define Fields in the lower-right corner of the page.

Edit a unit’s user fields

  1. Go to Menu > Masters > Units. This opens the Units page.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, enter the unit you want to edit, or you can use Search Search to find it.

  3. Select the User Fields tab.

  4. Make changes to the available fields. If a field has a dropdown list, you can only select a value from that list. If the dropdown list has a blank available for selection, that represents the default shown in the field when no values have been selected.

  5. In the upper-right corner of the page, select Save.
