Unit Parts tab

Depending on your setup, the Parts tab has between two and four sub-tabs:

When you select the Parts tab, the system displays the Accessories sub-tab automatically.

Accessories sub-tab

The Accessories sub-tab shows these columns:

Part Type

Part type classifies the part. These are valid part types:

  • Accessory: an accessory is a major component on equipment. It is commonly a serialized part. Examples of an accessory include an engine, transmission, and GPS system.

  • Casing: a casing is a tire that needs to be re-capped. This part type is commonly used when the Tire Module has been purchased.

  • Fluids: you use fluids on fuel tickets and repair orders. When setting up a fluid, the Fluid Type field appears. An entry in the field is required.

  • Kit: a kit contains multiple parts. When you charge a kit part ID on an order, the system charges the parts that make up the kit on the order, automatically.

  • Spare: this is a Spare tire on a unit. It is commonly used when the Tire Module has been purchased

  • Standard: use this type for all parts that do not fit into the special categories above

  • Supplies: supplies are items that you do not normally charge on a repair order, such as shop towels

  • Tire: special designation for tires tracked in inventory

View inactive accessories

  1. Go to Menu > Masters > Units. This opens the Units page.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, enter the unit you want to edit, or you can use Search Search to find it.

  3. Select the Parts tab. The tab opens with the Accessories sub-tab open by default.

  4. Near the upper-right corner of the page, select Include Inactive. The page refreshes to show all accessories, active and inactive.

Serialized sub-tab

This sub-tab tracks serial parts that have been put on and removed from the unit via Serialized Parts tracking. This view shows any other part type where the serial numbers are being tracked in inventory. The data on this sub-tab is read-only; you cannot change it.

Tires sub-tab

This sub-tab tracks tires that have been put on and removed from the unit via the Tire Module. By default, you can only see active tires, but by selecting Inactive Tires you can view tires that have also been removed. The data on this tab is read-only; you cannot change it.
