General menu and toolbar options

Many menu and toolbar options are standardized across TruckMate.

File menu

Menu option	Toolbar icon	Keyboard shortcut	Description
Print Reports		Ctrl+P	Opens the Report Selection window where you can select a report file from those available in your system. See Printing Reports for more information.
Exit			Closes the program and releases the user license.

Multi-Company menu

If you have multi-company functionality enabled, you can use the Multi-Company menu to switch from one company data set to another.

Menu option	Keyboard shortcut	Description
<View Company>		Switches between company datasets.
Cross-Company Viewing		Shows the datasets for all of your companies under one or more instances of Multi Mode Dispatch.
Change Record Visibility	ALT+F12	Lets you control the selected record’s visibility within the organizational structure. This is only available in some programs and under specific conditions.

Navigate menu

The Navigate menu and Record Navigation toolbar let you:

Move between records
Add records
Delete records
Edit records

Menu option	Keyboard shortcut	Description
First	Ctrl+PgUp	Moves to the first record in the database.
Prior	Ctrl+Left	Moves to the record prior to the current record.
Next	Ctrl+Right	Moves to the next record.
Last	Ctrl+PgDn	Moves to the last record in the database.
Insert	Ctrl+Ins	Clears the field and places the cursor in the first entry field. When you select Insert, only Post and Abandon will be available on the navigator bar.
Delete	Ctrl+Del	Deletes the selected record The selected record has a black arrow on the left grid margin. You will be prompted to confirm before the record is deleted. There is no undo option.
Edit		Goes into edit mode, allowing changes to the currently selected record. When you select Edit, only Post and Cancel will be available on the navigator bar. There is no undo option.
Post	Shift+Enter	Write newly created records or edits to existing records to the database.
Cancel	Shift+Escape	Cancel any changes made and revert the selected record back to its previous values.
Refresh	Ctrl+F5	Refresh the data on the page by making a query to the database for the latest version of the record. Any updates made by you or other users will be displayed. //// Not sure if this needs to be included here. It is good to know which refresh buttons affect the whole program vs one section, but I think it would make more sense to address it on the option itself. Commenting it out for now. - ZA, 2023-11-28 There are other refresh buttons that not only refresh the data for the records in the one section of your program you are looking at, but also refresh the data for all records referenced by the program. ////

Find

Ctrl+F

The Tools menu includes the TruckMate Monitor and the Remember Position/Size functions.
