Clone a unit record

Once you have created a unit, you can use that unit to create more units. This is referred to as cloning a unit.

To clone one or more new units based on an existing unit, you use the Clone Unit window. For example, you can clone an existing tractor unit to create four more tractor units. The new units are identical to the original except for the Unit ID (also known as the Unit Number).

You can also clone attributes from one unit to one or more other units using the Clone Units page. For example, if you needed to add a new meter to all tractor units, you could add the meter to one tractor and then use the Clone Unit page to copy the meter to all the other tractors. The Clone Unit page doesn’t just add data, however. You can use it to delete, replace, or update unit attributes.
