Add a repair order in Shop Planner

Before you can add a repair order (RO) from Shop Planner, the unit must have a plan. For information on creating a plan, see Add a Plan.

To create a repair order from a plan:

  1. Go to Menu > Activities > Shop Planner. The Shop Planner page opens.

  2. Enter a shop or select Search icon Search to find a shop. The Planner page shows all the plans available for your selected shop.

  3. Select a plan row. The program highlights the row to show it is selected.

  4. In the bottom-right corner of the place, select Actions. The Actions menu opens.

  5. You have two choices: Create RO and Create RO from Template.

    • If you select Create RO, the Manage Forms window opens with the Repair Order form.

    • If you select Create RO from Template, the Repair Order Template Select window opens.

      • Select a Template Type from the dropdown list.

      • Select a Template from the dropdown list.

      • Enter a Date/Time or use the Calendar and Clock icons Calendar and Clock icons to select a date and time.

      • Click OK. The Manage Forms window opens with the Repair Order form. The program applies the data from the template to the new RO.

      • Complete the steps for creating a repair order as described in Create repair orders.

  6. Save the RO. The Manage Forms window closes, returning you to the Shop Planner page.
