Quick Reference Guide for the TotalMail® 2000 Configuration Utility

Use this handy reference to complete procedures you are familiar with.

The main sections of this guide contain complete information about these actions and everything else you need to know to work with the TotalMail® 2000 Configuration utility.

What you want to do How to do it

Change the password for a TotalMail login ID.

1. Go to the Logins folder.
2. Select the login ID.
3. Select Properties.
4. On the Login Properties window, Select Change TotalMail Password.
5. Enter and verify the new password.
6.Select OK.

Change the password for an administrative function (opening the TotalMail 2000 Configuration utility, creating form definitions, …​).

1. Go to the Security folder.
2. Select the password field for your administrative task.
3. Enter the new password.
4. Select Apply.

Add a new TotalMail resource (login, truck, trailer, driver, MCT) or group (dispatch group, member group).

1.Select the folder for the resource or group.
2. Select New or Add.
3. Enter the information for the new resource or group in the Properties window.

Modify an existing TotalMail resource or group.

1. Select the folder for the resource or group.
2. Highlight the resource or group.
3. Select Properties.
4. Edit the information as needed in the Properties window.

Add or change the dispatch system ID for a TotalMail truck, trailer, or driver.

1. Select the folder for the resource.
2. Highlight the resource or group.
3. Select Properties.
4. In the Properties window, edit the appropriate field for the resource: Dispatch System Truck ID, Dispatch System Trailer ID, or Dispatch System Driver ID.

Retire an existing TotalMail resource or group.
Note: TotalMail resources and groups that are no longer needed should be retired, not deleted.

1. Select the folder for the resource or group.
2. Highlight the resource or group.
3. Select Properties.
4. In the folder list of the Properties window, select the Settings folder.
5. Select . . . is retired checkbox.

Change the MCT assignment for a truck or trailer.

1. Select the Trucks or Trailers folder.
2. Highlight the truck or trailer.
3. Select Properties.
4. In the folder list of the Properties window, select the Mobile Comm Units folder.
5. Select the MCT.
6. (Optional) deselect the truck or trailer’s previously assigned MCT.

Change the default MCT for a truck or trailer.
Note: This action only needs to be performed if more than one MCT is assigned to the truck or trailer.

1. Select the Trucks or Trailers folder.
2. Highlight the truck or trailer.
3. Select Properties.
4. In the folder list of the Properties window, select the Mobile Comm Units folder.
5. Select the MCT to be the default.
6. Select Make Default.
