The Quick View folder

The content pane of the Quick View folder is divided into two sections. If TotalMail is set up for truck-based addressing, the top of the upper section shows two radio buttons.
-
If Dispatch Group is selected, the dispatch group area displays.
-
If Drivers is selected, the driver area displays.
If TotalMail is set up for driver-based addressing, only the driver area displays in the upper section. The radio buttons do not appear. |

The icon bar between the folder list and content pane is not available in the Quick View folder. |
The Dispatch Group folder
The Dispatch Group folder is only available in the Truck Properties window if TotalMail is set up for truck-based addressing. |

-
To see just that selected group, select the Show selected only checkbox.
-
To change the dispatch group, select the checkbox for the dispatch group.
To add a dispatch group, select New or Add Group.
To view or modify a dispatch group, select Properties.
For more information about truck-based and driver-based addressing, see The Options > General window.
Each truck can belong to only one dispatch group. Therefore, the Select and Deselect options are not available in the Dispatch Group folder. |
Mobile Comm Units
The Mobile Comm Units folder is used to assign the Mobile Comm Units device to the truck.
These terms are used interchangeably by different users: mobile comm unit (MCU), mobile comm terminal (MCT), smart device (phone, pad, tablet, …), driver’s device, or just "device". This documentation uses driver’s device unless something else is used in the interface. |
The truck’s current mobile comm unit is selected in the resource area. To display only the truck’s assigned driver’s devices, select Show assigned only. To display only driver’s devices not assigned to any truck or trailer, select Unused only. Use Select and Deselect to change the truck’s assigned driver’s device. If more than one driver’s device is assigned to a truck, highlight the truck’s default driver’s device in the work area and select Make Default.
To add a driver’s device, select New or Add Unit. To view or modify a driver’s device, select Properties. The Mobile Communications Units Properties window opens.
