General Info Table settings that are used by eManifest

These General Info Table settings are used by eManifest, and are saved within the TMWSuite database.

Settings are listed in alphabetical order. Clicking on a setting displays it in a new browser tab.

ACE:AllowDeleteFromGrid

Applies to

TMW eManifest V.2021.3 and later

Description

There are times where you may use the Canadian Shipment Type for goods called CSA (Customs Self Assessment). This allows for the clearance of goods through the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). If you have CSA and non-CSA freight on a move in TMW eManifest, you may need to remove the non-CSA freight for customs. Use this setting to add a Delete button to the Company Information and Freight Information tabs in either the ACE or ACI Mode.

String1

  • N (default)
    The company Delete button is not active.

  • Y
    The company Delete button is active.

String2

  • N (default)
    The freight Delete button is not active.

  • Y
    The freight Delete button is active.

ACE:AlternateSCAC

Applies to

TMWSuite, TMW Operations 3.125.50, TMW eManifest

Description

You can have an alternate SCAC ID appear in the flat files transmitted to the border protection agency. The alternate SCAC will be used for shipment-level data on ACE and ACI documents.

String1

  • NONE (default)
    Do not use an alternate SCAC ID.

  • User-specified revenue type
    Enter one of the following to identify which revenue type provides the alternate SCAC ID:

    • RevType1

    • RevType2

    • RevType3

    • RevType4

Additional Notes

Revenue types are user-defined in the RevType1 - 4 labels. Before activating this functionality, you must edit the label for the revenue type that will provide the SCAC ID. Record alternate SCAC IDs in the EDI Code fields for the label options as needed. If you do not make an entry in the EDI Code field, the system will use the Abbr field value as the alternate SCAC ID.

ACE:ApplyVolumeforZeroWeight

Description

Use this setting to specify whether a commodity’s quantity and unit of measure will be used when the commodity’s weight is 0 (zero).

String1

  • N (default)
    Do not use volume when commodity weight equals zero.

  • Y
    Use volume when commodity weight equals zero.

Additional Notes

  1. If the volume unit of measure is not accepted by CBP, the default weight unit of measure is used instead.

  2. This setting affects the following documents:

    • 309 Complete manifest (Freight and Equipment record)
      Applicable only to ACE trips.

    • 309 Freight record only
      Applicable to ACE and ACI trips.

    • 358 Equipment Record only.
      Applicable to ACE and ACI trips.

ACE:BlankDefaultPAPs

Applies to

Description

Use this setting to have the system substitute the order number on ACE or ACI documents when no Shipment Control Number (SCN) exists.

String1

  • N (default)
    Do not use the order number when there is no SCN.

  • Y
    If there is no SCN, use the order number.

ACE:DefaultManifestQuantity

Applies to

TMWSuite, TMW Operations 3.125.50, TMW eManifest

Description

Enables the use of a default commodity count and package unit on eManifest documents, and defines a default value for both.

String1

  • N (default)
    Do not use default commodity count and package units.

  • Y
    Use default commodity count and package units.

    Note: When you use this option, you must make entries in the String2 and Int1 fields.

String2

  • Blank, that is, no entry (default)
    If you entered Y in String1, you cannot leave this field blank.

  • User-defined packaging unit
    Enter the Abbr column value for the packaging unit that is to be used. The value is recorded in the PackagingUnit label. Labels are accessed in System Administration.

Note: This field applies only if you entered Y in String1.

Int1

  • Blank, that is, no entry (default)
    If you entered Y in String1, you cannot leave this field blank.

  • User-defined count
    Enter a whole number.

Note: This field applies only if you entered Y in String1.

ACE:IgnoreCommodityOn358

Applies to

TMWSuite, TMW Operations 3.125.50, TMW eManifest

Description

Non-cargo items such as pallets and empty racks can remain on a trailer after an unload event. For ACE/ACI purposes, the trailer is empty. When a 358 message is created, you may want to exclude non-cargo items from the message.

This key identifies the ID codes of commodities to be ignored on 358 messages.

String1

  • Blank, that is, no entry (default)
    No commodities are declared as non-cargo items.

  • User-specified string of commodity codes
    Enter the commodity IDs, separated by commas, of commodities to be declared as non-cargo items.

Additional Notes

Commodity profiles for non-cargo items must exist before making entries for this setting.

ACE:ReceiverID

Applies to

TMWSuite, TMW Operations 3.125.50, TMW eManifest

Description

Specifies the receiver ID used in the flat files generated for transmitting ACE messages. The CBP-ACE-TEST setting allows messages to be sent in test mode. When you decide to go live with ACE, change the setting to ABP-ACE to transmit your documents to CBP.

String1

  • CBP-ACE-TEST (default)
    Send ACE flat files in test mode.

  • CBP-ACE
    Send ACE flat files in production mode.

Additional Notes

This setting does not apply to ACI trips. All ACI messages are marked as production messages. Your company must coordinate with CBSA as to when messages it receives from your company are test or production.

ACE:TractorType

Applies to

TMWSuite, TMW Operations 3.125.50, TMW eManifest

Description

Use this setting to specify the source of the conveyance type description inserted on an eManifest.

String1

  • Blank, that is, no entry (default)
    You cannot leave this setting blank.

  • User-specified tractor type
    To indicate the TrcType1-4 field on the tractor profile from which you will choose conveyance types, enter the field name:

    • TrcType1

    • TrcType2

    • TrcType3

    • TrcType4

  • TR
    In place of a specific tractor type, you can enter TR. A generic conveyance type of TRACTOR(SEMI) will appear on all eManifests.

Additional Notes

If you specify a TrcType1-4 for String1, the desired options must exist for that TrcType label. Edit the label file in the System Administration application.

ACE:TrailerType

Description

Use this setting to specify the source of the equipment type description the system inserts on an eManifest.

String1

  • Blank, that is, no entry (default)
    You cannot leave this setting blank.

  • User-defined trailer type
    To indicate the TrlType1-4 field on the trailer profile from which you will choose equipment types, enter the field name:

    • TrlType1

    • TrlType2

    • TrlType3

    • TrlType4

  • TL
    In place of a specific trailer type, you can enter TL. A generic equipment type of SEMI-TRUCK TRAILER will appear on all eManifests.

Additional Notes

If you specify a TrlType1-4 for String1, the desired label options must exist for that TrlType label. Edit the label file in the System Administration application.

ACI:AllowUSBorderLocation

Applies to

TMW eManifest

Description

An ACI-compliant trip must contain a Canadian port code. Use this setting to allow using US or Canadian border crossing locations on an ACI trip.

String1

  • N (default)
    ACI trips must have a Canadian border crossing location.

  • Y
    ACI trips may have a Canadian or US border crossing location.

Note: To use a US border crossing location in place of a Canadian location, two company profiles must exist for the city location.

  • One uses the Canadian port code as the Alt ID.

  • The other uses the US board crossing code as the Alt ID.

Additional Notes

This setting is applicable only to ACI trips.

ACI:CarrierCode

Applies to

TMW eManifest

Description

Use this setting to identify your ACI carrier code. It will be used on forms that require it.

String1

  • 0000 (default)
    No carrier code is defined.

  • User-specified four-digit number
    Enter your ACI carrier code. The code is obtained from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

Additional Notes

This setting applies only to ACI.

ACI:CCNCode

Applies to

TMW eManifest

Description

TMW eManifest inserts the CCN prefix code into a Cargo Control Number (CCN) automatically. Use this setting to specify the CCN prefix.

String1

  • PARS (default)
    The CCN prefix code is PARS.

  • Blank, that is, no entry
    No CCN prefix code will be inserted.

Additional Notes

  1. The unique carrier-assigned number portion of the CCN is the TMW order ID.

  2. The CCN cannot contain spaces, and must not be duplicated for a three-year period.

  3. This setting is applicable to ACI trips only.

Emanifest:EnforceManifestSCN

Applies to

Description

Use this setting to require a Shipment Control Number (SCN) at the freight detail level for all ACE and ACI shipments.

String1

  • N (default)
    All ACE and ACI shipments do not require a SCN.

  • Y
    Require a SCN at the freight detail level for all ACE and ACI shipments.

    Notes:

    1. Each shipment must include a freight detail level reference number as identified by the String2 field entry.

    2. If no reference number matches an option in the String2 field, the Validation Results window displays a critical error.

String2

  • User-defined list
    Enter a comma-separated list of reference number types that can be used for the SCN; for example, ACESH,8S,REF.

    Notes:

    1. Each option must match a value recorded in the ReferenceNumbers label’s Abbr field. Access the label file in System Administration.

    2. Each label option must have the following values:

      • The EDI Code field must contain SCN.

      • The ExtraString1 field must contain ACE.

      • The ExtraString2 field must contain freightdetail.
