About SSRS Reports

Reports created using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) are installed in the AMS SSRS Report Library folder on your SSRS Report Server. The reports are arranged into sub-folders based on the report’s main purpose. The sub-folder names match those in the SSRS Report Viewer in TMT Fleet Maintenance.

Some reports are hidden in the root of the AMS SSRS Report Library by default. You can only generate these reports in the system. They are not available in the SSRS Report Viewer.

The SSRS Report Library is where the report source files are stored on the server.

The SSRS Report Directory is a list of the SSRS reports available.

Report Configuration

After the initial installation, you can view or change the SSRS report setup from the Report Configuration.

Report Options

SSRS reports used by the system have location entries in Application Options. Some of the reports can be changed at the shop level in Shop Options, at the customer level in Customer Options, at the user level in User Options or User Preferences. This allows the report information to be changed if you are using customized reports. On the Application Options page, the locations report options are:

  • CIS > Reports

Note: Trimble no longer offers CIS (Customer Inquiry System) for sale. This information is included for users with older versions of TMT.

  • Reports > several sub-folders

  • TTP > Reports

The locations shown on the page are the file folder locations on the TMT Server. The location is for the information of regular users. Only Admin users can access the TMT Server.

Calendar

SSRS reports that use dates have a date field that uses a standard calendar control. Some reports add the ability to select a date range.

Field Description

Standard Calendar Control

The standard calendar control lets you type in the date (MM/DD/YYYY format) or click the calendar icon and select the date from the calendar.

If you select the calendar, you can use the right and left arrows to navigate. The single arrow will change the date by one month; the double arrow will change the date in 3-month intervals.

Date Range

Selecting a date range option will automatically populate the Start Date and End Date based on the selection.

Multi-Currency

Some reports support multi-currency by adding a Currency selection as one of the parameters. If the Application Option Enable Multi-Currency Conversion Services is turned on, each report that has the currency parameter will allow selection of the currency the report should be run. If the option is turned off, the company’s currency will be displayed and cannot be changed.
