Installing the LTL Operations application

After you download the installation files, you can begin installing the application on your machine.

If you want, before upgrading to a new version of LTL Operations (removing old and installing new) you can create an archive of the existing version. Copy the folder containing the existing version’s executable files, then download the new version to the default location. If you download the new version to the default location without making the copy, the new files will overwrite the existing files.

To install LTL Operations on your computer:

  1. Locate the installation .ZIP file you downloaded and saved.

  2. Double-click the .ZIP file.

  3. Double-click the LTLDispatchSetup folder.

  4. Double-click the LTLDispatchSetup.msi file in that folder.
    The Setup Wizard window opens.

  5. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

Applying LTL Operations SQL to your database

When you install LTL Operations, the SQL sub folder is added to the folder with the application files. It contains the DBMod.sql SQL script. You must apply this script against the TMWSuite database that you use with LTL Operations.

To do this, you must have a SQL Server administrator login and password for the TMWSuite database.

When the SQL file is applied to your database, you should see a message stating, "Query executed successfully." If a message states that the query executed with errors, do not move on to the next part of the installation process. Contact Trimble Transportation Support.
