Load Offers

The Load Offer page enables Carriers to track the orders that have been assigned to them. When the Load Offer page is opened, a simple summary of all New Loads, that have been entered through the Dispatch program, which have not yet been accepted or rejected are displayed.

Options and visible columns displayed on the Load Offers page can vary, depending on how an administrator has set it up.

When you select the Ref# value of one of the individual Load Offers, the Load Details screen displays, enabling you to view the details and Accept or Decline the Load Offer. You can export load details into Excel, E-mail, or print it out.

Searching new loads

The Load Offer page enables Carriers to track the orders that have been assigned to them using a search function.

Use this procedure to search for specific loads. Depending on the information types; you can search for a completed load by:

  • Its trip number

  • Its bill number

  • Shipper name

  • Consignee name

  • Bill of Lading

  • Booking number

  1. On the TM4Web menu, click More and then click Load Offers.
    The New Loads page opens.

  2. If not already open, click New Loads.
    The search options are displayed.

  3. In the Search field, select the information type on which you want to search.

  4. In the Search Style field, select either Starts With or Exact to indicate how this field is used to search.

  5. In the Search Value field, enter the ID or value appropriate to the search type you selected. When entering a number, you can:

    • Enter the entire number

    • Enter part of the number

  6. Click Advanced Search Options.

    • Click image4 Calendar to choose a date for either the From or To fields for Pick Up By and Deliver By dates.

    • Click image5 Clock to choose a time for the From for Pick Up By time. An item list appears allowing you to select a time.

  7. Click Search.

    If multiple loads are found matching your search criteria, a list appears. Select the load you want to view and then click Trip Number (or other valid link).

    The New Load Details appears.

    Option Description

    Excel

    Clicking image7 Excel enables you to display the results from the details grid in a .CSV file format that can be loaded in an Excel spreadsheet to be saved, circulated, and accessed at a later time.

    Email

    Clicking image8 Email enables you to send the results from the details grid in an .xls file spreadsheet.

    Print

    Clicking image9 Print displays the list of the results from the details grid that can be printed.

Accepting or declining load detail information

The Load Details screen displays information about the Trip divided first by Leg and then by Freight Bill. Whether you Accept or Decline, this page routes you back to the Carrier Status Updates page.

Use this procedure to accept or decline load detail information. Detail information can be viewed by Trip Number.

  1. From New Loads, view a load list.

  2. To view information about a trip, select the shipment you want to view and then click the Trip Number link.

    Section Definition

    Trip Information Header

    This section of the Load Offer page displays the trip information, including all trip legs, trip number, route, and created date.

    This section of the Load Offer page displays the amount of information for the included Freight Bills on the trip.

  3. Enter any relevant comments in the Comments field.

  4. If enabled, enter an Invoice number in the Invoice Number field.

  5. If enabled, in the Trailer Number field, click the Search icon.
    The Trailer Lookup screen is displayed.

    1. Select the information type on which you want to search.

    2. In the Search By field, select either Code or Description to indicate how this field is used to search.

    3. In the Search For field, enter the code or value appropriate to the search type you selected.

    4. Click Search.

    5. Click the desired code.
      The trailer number is automatically entered in the Trailer Number field.

  6. Enter a booking number number into the Booking Number field.

    Note: If enabled, the Booking Number field indicatates a carrier is obliged to enter a booking number before accepting the load offer.

  7. To accept a Load Offer, click Accept.

  8. To decline a Load Offer, click Decline.
