Trailer beaming password override added (TTESUITE-157451)
Trailer beaming happens when a trailer is located in one place and started on a trip that begins somewhere else. You can set up the system to warn you about trailer beaming or to prevent it. You may not want to prevent some trailer beaming situations and allow others. To do this, you can set up the system to let you enter a password to allow it.
-
To allow users to enter a password, the
[Misc]TrlBeamingLevel
setting in your TTS50 must have a value of2
or5
. -
You enter the password in the General Info Table. Make your entry in the
TrlBeamPassword
setting’s String1 field.
If the trailer assigned to a trip is not located where the trip starts, when you change the status to Started, the Trailer Beaming Password Override pop-up window opens. You can enter the password and click OK to start the trip.

The system was not correctly reading the combination of two INI settings. This meant that it was not identifying trailer beaming situations according to how the settings control beaming.Whether you have the
[Asset Assignment]PriorTractorLocationIgnorePlanned
INI setting asY
orN
, it should always override[DateTimeChecks]IgnorePlanned
. It should do this regardless of the value set for theIgnorePlanned
setting.However, if you had the
PriorTractorLocationIgnorePlanned
asY
and theIgnorePlanned
setting asNO
(the default value) it used theIgnorePlanned
setting. The system did not check for trailer beaming.
