Preventing users from editing profile data accessed from scroll windows
A profile is a record that contains basic information relevant to your company’s relationship with an entity, such as a driver, trailer or company.
In TMW Operations, you can access profiles from:
-
A scroll window by selecting a record and then clicking the Profile button
-
A grid or a data entry window by right-clicking the entity’s ID and then selecting View Profile from the shortcut menu
-
The Tools > Profiles menu
By default, in TMW Operations you can:
-
View profile information through the various profile windows
-
Create or edit profiles only if you have been granted access to the File Maintenance application in TMWSuite
You can use the [.NetOperations]ProfileEditDisabled
setting in your TTS50 to prevent users in TMW Operations from creating or editing profiles accessed from a scroll window, grid, or data entry window.
This setting does not affect profiles accessed directly in their profile windows. You view them by selecting Tools > Profiles and then selecting the individual profile type. You can restrict users from accessing the profile windows by removing the Profiles command from the Tools menu. For details, see Removing a command from a menu category and Using layouts to add security and control user actions. |
