Modifying diagnostic definition assignments

There may be times when you need to modify diagnostic definition assignment. You use the Diagnostic Definitions page to:

  • Modify existing assignments

  • Delete assignments

To modify diagnostic definition assignments:

  1. Go to Menu > Setup > Order Setup > Diagnostic Definitions.
    For versions earlier than V. 2020.2, go to Menu > Setup > Repair Order Setup > Diagnostic Definitions.
    The Diagnostic Definitions page opens.

  2. In the Description field, enter the diagnostic definition’s name.

    Note: You can use the search feature to find the diagnostic definition.

  3. Click Assignment.
    The Diagnostic: Assignment section is displayed.

  4. Select the assignment that you need to modify.

  5. Click Edit Assignment.
    The Edit Assignment window opens.

  6. Make changes as needed.

  7. When you are finished, click Assign.
    The page refreshes and your assignment is displayed.

To close the window without saving your changes, click Cancel.

Removing diagnostic definition assignments

To remove a diagnostic definition assignment:

  1. Go to Menu > Setup > Order Setup > Diagnostic Definitions.
    For versions earlier than V. 2020.2, go to Menu > Setup > Repair Order Setup > Diagnostic Definitions.
    The Diagnostic Definitions page opens.

  2. In the Description field, enter the diagnostic definition’s name.

  3. Click Assignment.

  4. Select the assignment that you want to remove.

  5. Click Delete Assignment.
    The assignment is removed.
