What are load requirements/preferences?
Load requirements/conditions specify special criteria that must or should be met when assigning resources (driver, tractor, trailer, or carrier) to an order.
-
A requirement is signified by a must condition. The system prevents dispatch of an asset that does not satisfy the requirement.
-
A preference is signified by a should condition. During resource assignment, a warning displays if the assigned resource does not satisfy the condition. However, the system will allow the assignment.
There are two types of load requirements:
-
Default load requirements
When you know in advance that certain load requirements always apply for a specific company or commodity, you can enter them as default requirements in the profile for the company or commodity. During the order entry process, the system automatically attaches default load requirements when a specific company, commodity or company/commodity pair is recorded for the order. -
Order-by-order load requirements
If a load requirement is specific to a particular order, it can be added manually to the order.
