Warnings
Forecaster Console update warning
As of V. 2018.3, the Forecaster Console in Inventory Services no longer uses Common Volumes to calculate order quantities. Now, it uses Trailer Compartments to maximize gallons and fit orders to specific trailer compartments. The V. 2018.3 update requires a simple setup process to forecast to trailer compartments. We have included a mass update tool in the ClientCenter download to ease this transition. Instructions on using the tool are provided in the Inventory Services 2018.3 release notes.
Social Security number encryption warning
Starting in version 2020.4, Social Security numbers you enter in the Driver profile are encrypted in the database by default.
Having encrypted Social Security numbers could interfere with third-party applications accessing the data. This happens because the data is encrypted when transferred. The third-party application would not have the ability to decrypt it.
You can set up the system so that the Social Security numbers you enter in the Driver profile are not encrypted in the database. To do so, set the DataEncryption General Info Table setting’s String1 field to N.
The Data Conversion Administration Utility allows you to encrypt/decrypt a group of Social Security numbers in your database. Contact your Professional Services representative to obtain the DataConversionAdministrationUtilityInstall.msi. Access and usage of The Data Conversion Administration Utility should only be provided to a system administrator. That utility provides access to all highly sensitive data and should only be used in the explicit instance of needing to encrypt or decrypt the driver profile. |
ALK warning
In very limited circumstances, your system could generate incorrect mileages when using PC*MILER version 32 with any of these products:
-
TMW Operations version 2018.2 or lower
-
TMW Back Office version 2018.2 or lower
-
Fuel Dispatch version 2018.2 or lower
-
TMWSuite version 2018.2.0.0275 or lower
This problem is associated only with systems that have one of these options set in their TTS50:
-
[MileageInterface]ExOptions[x]=I
-
[MileageInterface]ExOptions[x]=X
Having either of these options set will cause Practical mileage to be computed as Shortest, and Shortest mileage to be computed as Practical.
This will not affect mileages previously retrieved and stored in the mileage table.
The issue is fixed in the next general release, such as 2018.3 for TMW Operations.
A temporary workaround to bypass the incorrect code is to do any of the following:
-
Use an additional ExOption in conjunction with the I or X option.
-
Remove the I or X option entirely.
-
Install an earlier version of PC*MILER.
Requirements
-
TMWSuite®
You must be using TMWSuite V. 2019.4 or later. -
Microsoft® .NET Framework
Install or upgrade to the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework on your system. At a minimum, you should have V.4.6.2 installed. The framework must be installed on the FuelTMS applications server, client, and administrator systems before you install FuelTMS. If it is not present, the system displays an advisory message during the installation. Install the framework before running the application.
-
Microsoft® SQL Server®
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or laterNote: SQL Server 2014, SQL Server 2016, and SQL Server 2017 are supported. Trimble Transportation recommends using the latest service pack of whichever version you use.
-
You must be logged into the system where you want to install the FuelTMS applications, and have administrator rights for that system.
Like most applications, FuelTMS applications can be installed locally on a user’s system. It is also possible to install FuelTMS applications on a network drive. To do so, you must be logged into the system where the drive is physically located, and have administrator rights for that system. -
SQL Server System Administrator rights are necessary.
The installation of FuelTMS applications includes the manual application of a SQL script to the TMWSuite database. You must have a SQL Server administrator login and password to apply it.
Enhancements
Call On Demand Order Entry
Certificate of Analysis on a splash blend product (FS-201481)
Previously, when creating a Certificate of Analysis on a splash blend product you had to select one of the child splash blend commodities. When you opened the Certificate of Analysis Creation window, the Customer Specification information pertained to the child commodity rather than the parent splash blend commodity. Now, the requirements and Certificate of Analysis for the product being delivered pertain to the parent rather than the child splash blend commodities.
For details, see Adding a Certificate of Analysis.
Company Profile
Add Account Of option (FS-201441)
The Company Profile window displays a series of checkboxes, called switches, which you use to indicate a company type, such as Bill To or Consignee. The series now includes the Account Of checkbox. You use this option to identify a company as an entity that purchases fuel from a supplier and resells it to service stations.
The checkbox already exists in the Company Relations Profile. |
For details, see Company Profile Switches.

Dispatch Dashboard
Increased performance in the Dispatch Dashboard (FS-201475)
The performance issues in the Dispatch Dashboard were improved. The following changes were made:
-
The Mode field specifies the quantity of data retrieved for a specified duration. It includes these options:
-
LegacyResult
Shows data gathered within 14 days forward and 20 plus days back -
ShortResult (default)
Shows data gathered within 7 days forward and typically, 2 weeks back
-
-
Additional columns are available to show in the Stores List grid. The columns are similar to those in the Forecast Order Review window.
For details, see Retrieving stores.
Imaging
Cloud imaging replaces Documents tab with Imaging tab (FS-201305)
If your system is set up to use cloud imaging, the updated imaging UI integration control replaces the existing Documents tab with the Imaging tab. This change affects the Company, Carrier, and Driver profile windows. Previously, you had to add the control into a window manually to make it visible. The new Imaging tab is now embedded in a window’s base layout. The tab displays a list of the customer’s imaged documents, such as contracts, rate quotes, paperwork for previous loads, and invoices.
Maintain commodity colors (FS-201259)
Commodity Colors assigned by Commodity Class or Sub Class
Previously you could only modify a commodity color based on one commodity class. Now you can assign commodity colors based on Commodity Class 1 (Fgt Class) or Commodity Class 2 (Fgt Class 2).
Tank Model Maintenance
Creating tank models (FS-201252)
The new From Line# field in the File Import window allows you to identify from which row in the import file you want to start loading tank data. The system then loads the data into the Imported File grid. This field pertains to CSV files only.
For details, see Import tank model information electronically.
Load button relocated in the File Import window (FS-201253)
Previously the File Import window’s Load button was located at the bottom of the window. The button now shows at the top of the window in the File pane.
For details, see Import tank model information electronically.
Resolved issues
Call on Demand Order Entry
-
FS-201425
Fixed the issue that caused a GEH error to occur when a user created a Certificate of Analysis, saved the order, changed the consignee, and then saved the order. -
FS-201440
If you set your TTS50 setting ExcludeFromShipperSupplierChange to a single company or a comma separated list of companies, it did not function correctly. Only the option AllCompanies worked as intended. -
FS-201446
The user disabled the load requirement for an order but still received a Prevent Save indicator when assigning the order to a driver. -
FS-201470
Adding a splash-blend commodity and a shipper to a freight record with a Certificate of Analysis (CofA) in the Freight grid, removed the CofA text from the CofA button. -
FS-201514
When saving a new Quick Designer layout and setting it as the default layout, the system did not display it when you reopened Call On Demand Order Entry. Instead, the system displayed the previous default layout. -
FS-201520
Fixed the issue where the Count, Count Unit, Weight, and Weight Unit fields are not retained in a window layout when the window is re-opened. -
FS-201526
When creating a Certificate of Analysis (CofA) for a child splash blend commodity, you click the CofA button in the child row for the splash blend. If you click CofA for the parent splash blend, a message directs you to "Click the child record." The message was changed to read, "Please click the CofA button on the splash blend makeup commodities." -
FS-201544
When using the Retain/Redirect functionality and redirecting an LLD that was actualized, the RDR stop that replaced the LLD was no longer actualized and it had different stop times. -
FS-201568
When opening the Delivery Tab control, a designer file error prevented Visual Studio from displaying the control. -
FS-201958
When you changed the volume and assigned a driver at the same time, the Source field value showed Locked Volume (LCKVOL). This occurred even when you had[InventoryService]ForecastPLNStatus=Locked
in your TTS50. In addition, all Freight grid volumes reset to 0 (zero) when you planned stops and assigned a driver in the Stops grid.
Card Planner
-
FS-201275
Fixed an issue where record locking prevented an order from being updated correctly, if opened in Call On Demand Order Entry. -
FS-201484
Fixed the issue where extending a driver’s schedule to handle more orders allowed you to assign loads beyond the remaining volume on a Job Order. -
FS-201395
In Inventory Services, there was an issue where the Forecaster’s load projection exceeded the maximum number of gallons that the driver’s trailer compartment could hold. This caused an issue in the Card Planner. When you assigned a forecasted order to a driver’s trailer and it exceeded the trailer compartment’s maximum total, the system did not adjust the order volume to match the trailer’s maximum compartment volume. -
FS-201591
Adjusted the Inventory Services forecast logic to compare the compartments on a loading configuration instead of checking the Trailer ID, when assigning an order to an asset in the Fuel Dispatch Card Planner and Planning Worksheet. -
FS-201603
When planning either multiple loads for one driver or multiple consolidated loads in Card Planner, you received a System.OutOfMemoryException error. -
FS-201529
Fixed the issue where adding and saving a note in a Company Profile caused an error.
Company Relations
-
FS-201342
Fixed the issue where the Tank Model History window did not save data. Users could not add, remove, or update data in the window.
Dispatch Dashboard
-
FS-201505
Fixed the issue where completing the following steps created a GEH error. In the Dispatch Dashboard:
-
Set one of the restrictions, and then select a value in the InventoryServiceMode field.
-
Click Refresh.
-
After the board loads, click New.
-
Click Refresh.
-
Job Order by Volume
-
FS-201471
Fixed the issue that allowed the volume on consecutive child orders to exceed the Volume Ordered value, after a first child order was created. -
FS-201619
Fixed the issue where you were able to create a child order that exceeded the volume remaining on the parent order.
Menu Bar
-
FS-201399
Fixed an issue where the command Quick Copy showed as Quick Copy in the menu bar’s Customize Commands tab.
Oil Field Order Entry
-
FS-201519
Fixed the issue where double-clicking any order, such as a Call On Demand Order Entry order, in a planning board automatically opened the order in Oil Field Order Entry. This occurred when [FuelDispatch] ShowOilFieldOrderEntry was set to Y in your TTS50.

FS-201525
When using the Optimize Source feature to change the shipper on orders in the Card Planner’s Avl. Orders grid, the system provided no indication that an order with a Certificate of Analysis had to be deleted before changing the order. Now a pop-up window opens identifying the orders with certificates that must be deleted.
