Warnings

Forecaster Console update warning

As of V. 2018.3, the Forecaster Console in Inventory Services no longer uses Common Volumes to calculate order quantities. Now, it uses Trailer Compartments to maximize gallons and fit orders to specific trailer compartments. The V. 2018.3 update requires a simple setup process to forecast to trailer compartments. We have included a mass update tool in the ClientCenter download to ease this transition. Instructions on using the tool are provided in the Inventory Services 2018.3 release notes.

Social Security number encryption warning

Starting in version 2020.4, Social Security numbers you enter in the Driver profile are encrypted in the database by default.

Having encrypted Social Security numbers could interfere with third-party applications accessing the data. This happens because the data is encrypted when transferred. The third-party application would not have the ability to decrypt it.

You can set up the system so that the Social Security numbers you enter in the Driver profile are not encrypted in the database. To do so, set the DataEncryption General Info Table setting’s String1 field to N.

The Data Conversion Administration Utility allows you to encrypt/decrypt a group of Social Security numbers in your database. Contact your Professional Services representative to obtain the DataConversionAdministrationUtilityInstall.msi.

Access and usage of The Data Conversion Administration Utility should only be provided to a system administrator. That utility provides access to all highly sensitive data and should only be used in the explicit instance of needing to encrypt or decrypt the driver profile.

ALK warning

In very limited circumstances, your system could generate incorrect mileages when using PC*MILER version 32 with any of these products:

  • TMW Operations version 2018.2 or lower

  • TMW Back Office version 2018.2 or lower

  • Fuel Dispatch version 2018.2 or lower

  • TMWSuite version 2018.2.0.0275 or lower

This problem is associated only with systems that have one of these options set in their TTS50:

  • [MileageInterface]ExOptions[x]=I

  • [MileageInterface]ExOptions[x]=X

Having either of these options set will cause Practical mileage to be computed as Shortest, and Shortest mileage to be computed as Practical.

This will not affect mileages previously retrieved and stored in the mileage table.

The issue is fixed in the next general release, such as 2018.3 for TMW Operations.

A temporary workaround to bypass the incorrect code is to do any of the following:

  • Use an additional ExOption in conjunction with the I or X option.

  • Remove the I or X option entirely.

  • Install an earlier version of PC*MILER.

Requirements

  • TMWSuite®
You must be using TMWSuite V. 2019.3 or later.

  • Microsoft® .NET Framework
Install or upgrade to the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework on your system. At a minimum, you should have V.4.6.2 installed.

The framework must be installed on the FuelTMS applications server, client, and administrator systems before you install FuelTMS. If it is not present, the system displays an advisory message during the installation. Install the framework before running the application.

  • Microsoft® SQL Server®
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later

  • You must be logged into the system where you want to install the FuelTMS applications, and have administrator rights for that system.
Like most applications, FuelTMS applications can be installed locally on a user’s system. It is also possible to install FuelTMS applications on a network drive. To do so, you must be logged into the system where the drive is physically located, and have administrator rights for that system.

  • SQL Server System Administrator rights are necessary.
The installation of FuelTMS applications includes the manual application of a SQL script to the TMWSuite database. You must have a SQL Server administrator login and password to apply it.

Enhancements

Database

SQL changes related to the trc_transponder column update (PB-200661 and TSI-269)

Updated Microsoft® SQL stored procedures in conjunction with the changes related to the trc_transponder column update.

Creating a multi-order job

Create a job by volume (FS-201107, FS-201109)

Previously, when you created job orders, you specified how many orders would fulfill the job. Now, you can set up the system to create job orders based on a specific volume. As orders are completed, the volume decreases until no more orders are required.

Tank Model Maintenance

Creating tank models (FS-201252)

The new From Line# field in the File Import window allows you to identify from which row in the import file you want to start loading tank data. The system then loads the data into the Imported File grid. This field pertains to CSV files only.

Import tank model information electronically (FS-201283)

Previously when correcting field values in the upper half of the Tank Model Maintenance window and before saving, the system did not refresh the data in the Import Tank Straps grid to remove errors. Now, when changes are made, the system immediately refreshes the data in the grid to remove errors.

Viewing a tank’s model history (FS-201278)

To open the Tank Model History window you had to double click in the tank row’s Tank Model ID field in the Tanks tab of the Company Relations Profile window. The command was hidden. Now you click the Edit command in the Tank Model History field to view a tank’s model history.

Fuel Order Import/Export

Data Review Flag (TSI-185 and TSI-323)

Previously, orders would be sent to Fuel Order Import/Export even if the order had missing information, such as Bills of Lading numbers. There was no error checking.

Now, the system can be configured to enable the Data Review Flag feature. This feature prompts the user to confirm the order contains all required information before sending it to Fuel Order Import/Export.

Order status converted to Fuel Order Import/Export status (TSI-306 and TSI-309)

Previously, the system did not convert the Dispatched or Started order status to the Planned status required by Fuel Order Import/Export.

Now, the system converts these statuses to the Planned status required for Fuel Order Import/Export.

Resolved issues

Application Login window

  • FS-201094
Fixed the issue where no warning message opened in Fuel Dispatch when the application and database versions were mismatched.

Call on Demand Order Entry

  • FS-201093
Fixed an issue in the Quick Copy Master Order window where adding and deleting freight caused a GEH error to occur.

  • FS-201168
Fixed the issue where using the Order Scroll to open a Call On Demand Order Entry order, allowed the order to open in Oil Field Order Entry.

  • FS-201225
Fixed the issue where a GEH error occurred when clearing the SB (Splash Blend) checkbox and reentering a shipper in Call On Demand Order Entry.

  • FS-201323
Fixed the issue where the TTS50 setting DefaultWgtVolCount=Blank, that is, no entry, did not work as designed. When left Blank, the option should default to CUB as the unit of measure instead of GAL.

  • FS-201338
Fixed the issue where commodity colors for Splash Blends did not display correctly for a load.

  • FS-201344
When entering a new order in Call On Demand Order Entry and changing the commodity code on the first freight line of the order, the commodity code in the drop-down menu matched the commodity code of the last freight line on the order. Now the proper commodities show for each line item in the Freight grid.

  • FS-201351
Fixed an issue in the Quick Copy Master Order window that prevented you from adding freight if all freight was deleted.

  • FS-201352
Fixed an issue in the Quick Copy Master Order window where deleting freight, selecting a new row, and then entering freight added multiple new records.

  • FS-201362
Fixed the issue where opening an Oil Field Order Entry order from the Order Scroll in Call On Demand Order Entry, opened the Call On Demand Order Entry window.

  • FS-201363
If you made changes to an order but did not save them and then tried to close the application, you could receive various messages asking if you want to save. When the prompt opens asking if you want to close Fuel Dispatch and you chose Yes, the application did not close. This issue was fixed.

  • FS-201381
In addition to the Shipper tank Id (which is already locked down and displays a ToolTip warning), the Shipper and the Commodity Code fields are read-only while a Certificate of Analysis exists. If a user attempts to change any of these fields, a new warning opens. It tells the user that they must first delete the Certificate of Analysis to make those fields editable. The ToolTip that already exists for the Shipper Tank Id now applies to the Shipper and Commodity fields.

  • FS-201434
When you used Quick Designer to create a custom layout, it allowed you to save your changes. However, when you loaded the new layout, the window was in the original layout.

  • FS-201437
If you tried to exit Call On Demand Order Entry before saving a new order, the "Do you wish to save your changes" message appeared. Clicking No or Cancel did not work. You could not exit Call On Demand Order Entry.

  • FS-201958
When you changed the volume and assigned a driver at the same time, the Source field value showed Locked Volume (LCKVOL). This occurred even when you had [InventoryService]ForecastPLNStatus=Locked in your TTS50. In addition, all Freight grid volumes reset to 0 (zero) when you planned stops and assigned a driver in the Stops grid.

Card Planner and Planning Worksheet

  • FS-201262
Fixed the issue where an Object Reference Error occurred when assigning an order to a different asset.

Commodity Profile

  • FS-201361
Fixed the issue where users have the ability to save information in the Hazmat section of the Commodity Profile whether the Hazardous checkbox is cleared or selected.

Company Profile

  • FS-201083
Fixed the issue where a GEH error occurred when opening and closing a profile in the Company Scroll window.

Fuel Import

  • FS-201320
A reading of Zero (0) appears in the import file that is being inserted into a client’s database. Some files have a zero for the reading due to an error or something occurring at the site level that caused the zero to populate instead of the actual reading. Now when a zero shows for a valid tank, the entire site is ignored.

  • TSI-301
Fixed an issue in the Planning Worksheet where the TotalVol column displayed a zero (0) for orders with splash blended commodities imported from Fuel Order Import/Export.

Oil Field Order Entry

  • FS-201212
Fixed the issue where the system did not apply any type of character validation for entries made in the Email field of the Contacts Tab for an order. This permitted the entry of an invalid e-mail address.

  • FS-201278
To open the Tank Model History window you had to double click in the tank row’s Tank Model ID field in the Tanks tab of the Company Relations Profile window. The command was hidden. Now you click the Edit command in the Tank Model History field to view a tank’s model history.

  • FS-201283
Fixed the issue where the Tank Model Maintenance window’s Import Tank Straps grid did not clear its tank dip and tank volume errors when changes were made in the window’s Dip Info fields.

Tank Model Import

  • FS-201426
Fixed the issue where importing data from Excel caused an error.

Fuel Order Import/Export

  • TSI-332 and TSI-335
Fixed an issue where the Fuel Order Import/Export order import IDs were not being updated correctly.

  • TSI-341
Fixed an issue where Fuel Order Import/Export orders were being sent even if the order failed the validation process.
