INI settings that are used by Fuel Dispatch

Your TTS50 file contains the global settings that control how TMWSuite operates. You must set up this file for your company’s way of doing business. General information about the INI settings can be found in the TMWSuite System Administration guide.

[Brackets] enclose all the section headings in your TTS50. Each setting must remain in its section. The TTS50 is not alphabetical - you must use your text editor’s Find tool to locate a setting or section.

[FuelDispatch]AutoloadCompartmentsLoadedValidityCheck

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch: 16.10.17.0

Description

This setting determines whether the system requires each compartment in the Compartments section of the Trailer Autoload window to be loaded.

Options

  • N (default)
The system does not require each trailer compartment to be loaded.

If a compartment in the Compartments section of the window is empty, you can save your entries in the Trailer Autoload window.

  • Y
The volume for each commodity on an order must be loaded in the Compartments section of the Trailer Autoload window.

If a commodity has not been loaded and you attempt to save your entries in the window, a message identifies which commodity is missing. You cannot save until the specified commodity has been loaded into the Compartments section of the window.

  • W
If a commodity has not been loaded and you attempt to save your entries in the window, a message warns you that the commodity has not been loaded.

You can save your entries without loading the specified commodity, or return to the window to load the missing commodity.

[FuelDispatch]AutoloadMethod

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch, TMW Operations: 15.30.074

Description

The Trailer Autoloading feature helps dispatchers load trailers to maximum capacities. Trailer autoloading takes place in the Trailer Autoload window.

Use this setting to specify how the system fills trailer compartments with commodities.

Notes:

  1. This setting applies only when you have the [FuelDispatch]DisplayAutoload=Y setting in your TTS50.

  2. For all autoloading methods, you can manually enter commodities and volumes in the Compartments section of the Trailer Autoload window.

Options

  • 1 (default)
Commodities are not loaded automatically. The commodity and volume for each compartment must be entered manually.

Note: Use this option with the Learned Autoloading method in Fuel Dispatch. It is not applicable to the Auto-fill Autoloading method in Fuel Dispatch or the Autoloading feature in TMW Operations.

  • 2
When the load has a single commodity, the system loads the maximum weight in each compartment. It loads the trailer compartments from front-to-back.

The total commodity weight cannot be more than the maximum commodity weight allowed for the GVW. If it is, the system decreases the volume in the last compartment so that the total commodity weight is less than or equal to the maximum weight.

    Notes:

    1. Use this option with the Auto-fill Autoloading method in Fuel Dispatch and the Autoloading feature in TMW Operations. It is not applicable to the Learned Autoloading method in Fuel Dispatch.

    2. When you have more than one commodity on the load, you must enter the commodity and volume for each compartment manually.

    3. The loaded volume will be more than or equal to the ordered volume. This helps maximize loads by indicating how much more a load can carry.

  • 3
When a load has a single commodity, the system loads it in the trailer compartments equally. It fills each compartment to the same percentage of its maximum weight. For example, if a trailer has three compartments, each might be loaded to 79% of its capacity. It loads the compartments from front to back.

The total commodity weight for all compartments cannot be more than the maximum commodity weight allowed for the GVW.

    2. If you have more than one commodity on the load, the commodity and volume for each compartment must be entered manually.

    3. The loaded volume will be less than or equal to the ordered volume.

  • 4
Use this option when loads may have more than one commodity.

    • With one commodity, the system loads the maximum weight in each compartment until the entire commodity has been loaded. It loads the trailer compartments from front-to-back.

    • With multiple commodities, the number of compartments and the capacity of each compartment determine how the system fills them. In some instances, one or more commodities may not be loaded automatically.

If the total commodity weight is less than the maximum commodity weight allowed for the GVW, the system does not load the last compartment(s) to full capacity.

If the total commodity weight is more than the maximum commodity weight allowed for the GVW, the system decreases the volume in the last compartment(s) so that the total commodity weight is less than or equal to the maximum weight.

    Notes:

    1. Use this option with the Auto-fill Autoloading method in Fuel Dispatch. It is not applicable to the Learned Autoloading method in Fuel Dispatch, or the Autoloading feature in TMW Operations.

    2. The loaded volume will be less than or equal to the ordered volume.

[FuelDispatch]AutoloadProductLoadedValidityCheck

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch: 16.10.17.0

Description

This setting determines whether the system requires the volume for each commodity on an order to be loaded in the Compartments section of the Trailer Autoload window.

Options

  • N (default)
The system does not require the volume for each commodity on an order to be loaded.

If a commodity on the order has not been loaded in the Compartments section of the window, you can save your entries the Trailer Autoload window.

[FuelDispatch]AutoloadThresholdPercent

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch

Description

When you use trailer autoloading, the volume of a commodity you enter in the Comp Vol field in the Trailer Autoloading window must match the ActualQuantity, QTY, or NetVolume amount entered in Call on Demand Order Entry. The applicable field is identified by the [FuelDispatch]QtysToPromptAutoload setting.

Your company might prefer some leeway in entering volumes, however. For example, you might want to load a reserve, or fill a partial order.

Use this setting to specify a percentage by which a variance is allowed.

Options

  • 0 (default)
The ordered and loaded volumes of a commodity must match exactly.

  • User-specified percent
    Enter a number between 1 and 100.

This value sets the maximum permissible difference, in percent, between the total volume of a commodity loaded on a trailer, and the total ordered volume.

For example, an order might specify commodity volumes of 500, 800, and 1000 gallons, for a total of 2300 gallons. With AutoloadThresholdPercent=10, the total loaded volume could range from 2070 to 2530 gallons.

Note: When you enter a value between 1 and 100, these requirements must be met before you can save the autoload profile:

    • The total volume of all commodities loaded on the trailer must be within the specified percentage.

    • Each commodity volume must be within +/- 50% of the commodity’s ordered amount. This is a fixed, internal setting in Fuel Dispatch.

Additional Notes

Whether you use the default value (0) or enter a value between 1 and 100, the gross vehicle weight must comply with the Max Gross value in the Order/Permit Information section of the Trailer Autoload window.

[FuelDispatch]AutoloadValidityCheck

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch 14.40.51, TMW Operations: 15.30.074

Description

In the Trailer Autoload window, you can round compartment volumes in the Freight grid. This can cause a mismatch between the ordered volume and loaded volume.

When volumes are rounded, use this setting to ensure that the ordered volume and loaded volume match.

Note: Rounding is based on the Round To field in the Trailer Autoload window. The [Dispatch]CompartLoadVOlRound setting in your TTS50 specifies the default increment.

Options

  • N
    Do not validate compartment volumes.

    No warning will be displayed.

  • Y
Validate compartment volumes. When a volume mismatch occurs, display a warning and prevent the order from being saved.

Before the order can be saved, any volumes in the Freight grid must be manually changed to whole numbers.

  • W
Validate compartment volumes. When a volume mismatch occurs, display a warning, but do not prevent the order from being saved.

The order can be saved whether or not the volumes with decimal places are changed to whole numbers.

[FuelDispatch]CodoeBillToModeConsigneeDropDownCount

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch V. 15.30.22.0 and later

  • When you are using the Bill To level of company relationship enforcement

  • You are retrieving consignees in the Consignee or Alt ID fields.

Notes:

  1. As a best practice, the [FuelDispatch]SetCodoeInitialFocusConsignee setting should be set to N.

  2. If you are using instant best match, the consignee list will show the first user-specified number of records that meet the criteria for the Bill To company. You can continue to add characters to the field to show the next user-specified number of records that meet those criteria.

  3. If you are not using instant best match, the consignee list will show the user-specified number of all records for the BillTo company.

[FuelDispatch]DefaultLearnMode

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch

Description

By default, Learning Mode is activated. As you enter orders in Call On Demand Order Entry, the system records the combinations of companies on the orders and saves them as company relationships. Over time, Learning Mode will record every combination of consignee, shipper, supplier, and Account Of companies that you use with a particular Bill To. The system will also learn PIN Codes for linked companies if the PINCODEOVERWRITE INI setting has a value other than 1.

Options

  • Y (default)
As you save orders in Call On Demand Order Entry, the system will also save company relationships not already in the database.

  • N
Call On Demand Order Entry will not save new relationships. You must define company relationships and record PIN codes in the Company Profiles - Relations window.

[FuelDispatch]DefaultLoadUnloadDwellTimeMinutes

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch, TMW Operations

Description

For a shipper, dwell time is the amount of time a driver needs to load cargo. For a consignee, dwell time is the amount of time a driver needs to unload.

  • Fuel Dispatch
You can record a company’s dwell time on the Company Profiles - Relations window. Use this setting to set a default dwell time for shippers and consignees for which dwell time has not been recorded.

When a company without a dwell time is used as a stop on an order, the system checks the number of minutes recorded for the setting. To auto-calculate the stop’s Departure time, it adds that number to the stop’s Arrival time.

  • TMW Operations
Use this setting to record a global dwell time for all shippers and consignees. There is no way to set dwell times on a company-by-company basis.

When recording an Arrival time on an order, the system checks the number of minutes recorded for the setting. Then it auto-calculates the stop’s Departure time, by adding that number to the stop’s Arrival time.

Options

  • 30 (default)
Default dwell time is 30 minutes.

  • User-defined number of minutes
Make your entry as a whole number.

    Notes:

    1. In Fuel Dispatch, if you make an entry of 0 (zero) for this setting, and dwell time has not been entered for a company, the system makes the stop’s departure time identical to the arrival time.

    2. In TMW Operations, if you make an entry of 0 (zero) for this setting, the system will check [Operations]DefaultLoadTime in your TTS50 for the dwell time. If both are set to 0 (zero), then the system will set the arrival date/time and departure date/time to be the same.

Additional Notes

To determine total dwell time for a stop in Fuel Dispatch, the system also adds the dwell time for the trailer, as recorded in its trailer profile.

Note: This occurs only if you have [FuelDispatch]UseTrailerDwellTime=Y in your TTS50.

[FuelDispatch]DefaultUserTerminalOnNewOrder

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch

Description

By default, when a user enters a new order in the Call On Demand Order Entry window, the system copies RevType1 - 4 values from the consignee’s profile to the new order. If you use RevType1 to identify your terminals, you can use this setting to have the system copy the terminal value from the user’s profile instead. RevType2 - 4 values will not be copied from either profile.

Options

  • N (default)
Do not copy the user’s terminal (RevType1) value to the order.

Note: The system will use the [FuelDispatch]SetRevTypeByConsignee setting in your TTS50 to determine how RevType1 - 4 values should be set on new orders.

  • Y
Copy the user’s terminal (RevType1) value to the order.

    Notes:

    1. Users' terminal values are recorded in the TMWSuite User Maintenance window.

    2. Using this option overrides the [FuelDispatch]SetRevTypeByConsignee setting in your TTS50. Regardless of the entry for that setting, the system will not copy any of the consignee’s RevType values to the order. Users must enter RevType2 - 3 values manually.

Additional Notes

TMWSuite and TMW Operations do not support this setting.

[FuelDispatch]DisableCODOEShipperChangeValidation

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch: 14.040.033

Description

In Fuel Dispatch, relationships are links between companies that affect the order entry process in Call On Demand Order Entry. You can set up the system to enforce relationships when you enter orders. The highest enforcement level for company relationships is the Bill To option. By default, when you use it, changing an order’s shipper or supplier may also change the commodities on the order. If the new shipper/supplier offers different commodities, the system changes the commodity to one available from the new shipper. Both the commodity code and class are updated.

This setting allows you to disable this relationship enforcement. When you change the shipper or supplier for an order, the system retains the original commodity code and class.

Note: This setting applies to the Freight tab in Call On Demand Order Entry. It does not apply to the Tanks tab.

Options

  • N (default)
Apply relationship enforcement when changing the shipper or supplier.

Changing the shipper or supplier may change the commodity code and class, based on the commodities available at the new shipper/supplier.

    • If the new shipper/supplier offers a commodity with the same commodity code and class, no change is made.

    • If the new shipper/supplier offers a different commodity with the same commodity class, only the commodity code is set to the new value.

    • If the new shipper/supplier does not offer a commodity with either the same commodity or commodity class, both are set to UNKNOWN. The user must manually select a commodity class and code.

  • Y
Disable relationship enforcement when changing the shipper or supplier.

Changing the shipper or supplier on an order does not change the commodity code or class.

Additional Notes

The relationship enforcement level is set to BillTo when you have [FuelDispatch]OERelationMode=2 in your TTS50.

When you set up rules for invalid prior commodities, you specify whether a rule:

  • Results in a warning

  • Prevents saving an assignment

This setting controls whether the system will apply the rules defined for the specific commodities on the trailer’s consecutive trips.

Note: This setting is applicable only when you have [FuelDispatch]CheckProductCompatibility=Y in your TTS50.

  • N (default)
    Enforce prior commodity rules.

  • Y
Do not enforce prior commodity rules.

[FuelDispatch]ExcludeFromShipperSupplierChange

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch

Description

When the system is set up to require reasons for changing the shipper or supplier on an order, this setting allows you to identify companies that can be changed without requiring a reason. This setting applies to shipper and/or supplier changes made in Call On Demand Order Entry and the Mass Change Shipper/Supplier/Account Of window. The mass change window is accessed from the Card Planner or Planning Worksheet.

Notes:

  1. By default, when you change the shipper or supplier on an order in Fuel Dispatch, you must enter a reason for the change. Using the [FuelDispatch]DoNotDisplayReasonChangeForm setting, you can have the system bypass the reason requirement for shippers, suppliers, or both.

  2. When a reason is required for changing a shipper or supplier, any companies that you list in this setting are exempt.

Options

  • Blank, that is, no entry (default)

If the system is set up to require a reason for changing a shipper or supplier, no companies are excluded from that requirement.

  • Comma-separated list of company IDs
If certain shippers and suppliers do not require reasons for changes, enter their IDs. Use commas to separate IDs. Do not use spaces.

  • AllCompanies
No reason is required for changes made to any shipper or supplier.

Additional Notes

TMWSuite and TMW Operations do not support this setting.

This setting determines which reference number types (for example BL#, REF,SID,PO#) are mapped to freight reference number fields in the Call On Demand Order Entry window Freight Detail grid. The affected fields are:

  • FreightReferenceNumber

  • FreightReferenceNumber2

  • FreightReferenceNumber3

  • FreightReferenceNumber4

Options

  • Blank, that is, no entry
No reference number types are associated with the fields.

Note: Making an entry in one field populates all of them with the same entry. If you click Ref to access the multiple reference number window, it shows your entry, but no type.

  • User-specified list of reference number types
Specify four reference number types in a comma separated list, with no spaces. Your entries must exactly match the Abbr column value for the reference number types as they are recorded in the ReferenceNumber label. For example:

    FreightGridReferenceNumTypes=BL#,REF,SID,PO#

The order of your entries determines the fields to which they are mapped. Using the example above,

    • The FreightReferenceNumber field would use BL#

    • The FreightReferenceNumber2 field would use REF

    • The FreightReferenceNumber3 field would use SID

    • The FreightReferenceNumber4 field would use PO#

Note: When you use this option, you must add the fields to the Freight grid. You add fields using Field Chooser.

This setting allows you to identify whether you want the start and end times for the automatically generated shift schedule to be those of the default schedule template, or those saved for the individual driver.

Options

  • N (default)
Auto-generated driver shift schedules will use the template start and end times from the shift template.

  • Y
Auto-generated driver shift schedules will use the start and end times saved for the individual driver.

For example, setting the value to 8000 will cause the system to validate the QTY, ActualQuantity and NetVolume fields.

  • The QTY field cannot exceed 8000.

  • The ActualQuantity and NetVolume fields cannot be greater than 105% of 8000 (8400).

Options

  • Blank, that is, no entry (default)
Order-quantity validation does not occur for non-forecasted sites.

  • User-specified number
Enter a value for the maximum load for non-forecasted sites.

Note: This setting relies on the [Order]DefaultWgtVolCount INI setting. Validation will not occur if the order’s unit of measure is different from the default unit of measure. For example, if [Order]DefaultWgtVolCount=LBS,GAL,PCS is set and the order uses BBL (Oil Barrels), no validation occurs.

[FuelDispatch]RelationshipValidationOnSave

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch

Description

By default, Fuel Dispatch does not check the validity of relationships when you make changes to a saved order. That is because when you are using the global or Bill To relationship mode, the relationships are checked as you create and save the order.

You can use this INI to set how strictly the system will enforce valid relationships when you change an already saved order in Call On Demand Order Entry.

Options

  • 0 (default)
When you save changes to existing orders, the system will not check that the companies on the order have established relationships or that the commodity on the order is linked to the consignee.

  • 1
When you save changes to existing orders, the system will verify that the companies on the order have established relationships and that the commodity class on the order is one recorded in the consignee’s profile. If any companies on the order are missing a relationship with one of the other companies, or if the commodity class is not linked to the consignee a warning message will be displayed. You will be asked if you still want to save the order.

Note: When this option is used while Learning Mode is activated, saving an order after receiving the warning will temporarily disable Learning Mode, i.e., the system will not record a new relationship based on the change to the order.

You will be asked if you still want to save the order. You will not be allowed to save the order.

[FuelDispatch]ScheduledLoadCheck

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch 17.60 and later

Description

This setting enables additional load checking in the Card Planner and Planning Worksheet. For orders with the same consignee and commodity, only the order with the earliest arrival time (retain date) can be planned. A system warning will display in these scenarios:

  • A Planned (PLN), Dispatched (DSP), or Started (STD) order with the same commodity and consignee, and a later delivery date than the order is dragged to the shift.

  • An Available (AVL) order with the same commodity and consignee, and an earlier delivery date than the order is dragged to the shift.

Starting in V.2023.3 and later:

  • You can ignore the warning and plan the order when there is an earlier AVL order. In prior versions, you could only ignore a system warning about a later PLN/DSP/STD order.

  • The validation will no longer run for orders that were not created by the Forecaster.

[FuelDispatch]SetBillToFromConsignee

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch

Description

When you create a company profile in the TMWSuite File Maintenance application, you can designate the company as a consignee, and also specify a Bill To company to be associated with the profile company.

The SetBillToFromConsignee setting controls whether the Bill To field in the Call On Demand Order Entry screen defaults automatically to the Bill To specified in the consignee company’s profile. Make your entry as follows:

Options

  • N (default)
In the Call On Demand Order Entry screen, the Bill To field does not default to a company ID when you enter an ID in the Consignee field. The user must specify the Bill To.

  • Y
When you enter a company ID in the Call On Demand Order Entry screen’s Consignee field, the Bill To field defaults to the Bill To company ID specified in the consignee’s company profile.

Additional Notes

When SetBillToFromConsignee=Y:

  • In Company File Maintenance:

    1. A Bill To should be set up for each company designated as a consignee.

    2. To prevent billing problems, the Bill To check box should be cleared on the consignees' profiles.

  • In Call On Demand Order Entry:

    1. Enter a company ID in the Consignee field; the Bill To field will auto-populate. Do not enter or change the ID in the Bill To field.

    2. If the trip has more than one drop stop, only the first drop will result in the Bill To field being filled in.

    3. To preserve valid company relationships when you use this setting, it is suggested you also set RelationshipValidationOnSave=2 to perform validation checks.

The system will copy the revenue type values from the consignee’s profile to the order. If there are multiple consignees on the order, the revenue types from the consignee on the first delivery are used.

  • N
Revenue types must be entered manually.

Additional Notes

  1. During the setup for Fuel Dispatch, your company may have chosen RevType1 to identify its terminals. If you prefer to copy the RevType1 value from the profile of the user instead of the consignee, you must do the following:

    • Use the N option for this setting.

    • Set [FuelDispatch]DefaultUserTerminalOnNewOrder=Y in your TTS50.ini file.

Flagged orders are reviewed in Call On Demand Order Entry.

Options

  • PROMPT (default)
When a driver is logged out manually, show a message asking if incomplete orders should have their invoice status set to Available. This status makes orders ready for billing. If the user indicates the invoice status should be set to Pending instead, flag the orders for review. Flagged orders must be reviewed before being they can be invoiced. The orders are reviewed in Call On Demand Order Entry.

  • Y
When the driver is logged out, automatically:

Enable the Oil Field Order Entry feature.

[FuelDispatch]ShowWarnings

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch

Description

The Save Warnings window can provide notification of conflicts pertaining to order entry and trip asset assignments in Call On Demand Order Entry, Card Planner, and Planning Worksheet.

Based on the conflict’s severity, the system can issue either a Prevent Save message that prohibits saving an order or a Warn message that allows saving an order.

By default, the Save Warnings window displays a Prevent Save message only when a trip resource causes a severe conflict. For example, the system prevents you from saving the assignment when a resource:

  • Does not meet a must load requirement

  • Has a Priority 1 expiration

  • Is already started on another trip that overlaps with the planned assignment

The Save Warnings window displays a Warn message for minor conflicts. The system allows you to save an order or an assignment. For example, the system could issue a warning when you try to schedule a delivery during a store’s closed hours.

This setting determines whether the Save Warnings window opens for both Prevent Save and Warn conflicts.

Options

  • N (default)
Display the Save Warnings window for a Prevent Save conflict only.

  • Y

Fuel Dispatch

Description

When you create a consignee’s company profile, you can designate a user-defined code to be used as the alternate ID. This code often represents an ID from another computer system, such as an accounting code.

This setting determines whether the system automatically populates the Consignee, and Customer Name and Address fields in the Call On Demand Order Entry screen when you make an entry in the Alt ID field.

Options

  • Y (default)
When you enter an alternate ID in the Call On Demand Order Entry screen’s Alt ID field, the Consignee, and Customer Name and Address fields automatically populate.

  • N
Disables the functionality that enables an entry in the Alt ID field in the Call On Demand Order Entry screen to automatically populate the Consignee fields.

[FuelDispatch]UseCompanyCommodityDwellTime

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch

Description

This setting determines how the system will determine the dwell times to use when calculating the departure times from pickups and drops on orders you created in Call On Demand Order Entry.

General dwell times can be recorded for shipper and consignee companies in their profiles. You can also record commodity-specific dwell times for each commodity a shipper handles and each commodity a consignee can receive.

Options

  • N (default)
The system will ignore dwell times recorded for the shipper/commodity combination and the consignee/commodity combination used on the order.

    • It will use the general dwell time recorded for the shipper to calculate the departure time from the order’s pickup.

    • It will use the general dwell time recorded for the consignee when calculating the departure time from the order’s drop.

Notes: If no dwell time is recorded for the shipper or the consignee, the system will:

    • Use the value recorded for the DefaultLoadUnloadDwellTimeMinutes setting in the [FuelDispatch] section of your TTS50.ini file as the dwell time for each stop.

    • If the DefaultLoadUnloadDwellTimeMinutes setting does not exist in your INI file, the system will use the default dwell time of 30 minutes for each stop.

  • Y
The system will use the dwell time recorded for the shipper/commodity combination used on the order to calculate the departure time from the order’s pickup. It will use the dwell time recorded for the consignee/commodity combination used on the order to calculate the departure time from the order’s drop.

Note: When this option is used, the system follows this hierarchy to determine the dwell time for a stop:

    1. Uses the dwell times recorded for the commodity in the company’s profile. If the order contains multiple commodities having different dwell times, the system uses the larger/largest dwell time for the stop.

    2. If no dwell time is recorded for the commodity, it uses the general dwell time recorded in the company’s profile.

    3. If no general dwell time is recorded in the company’s profile, it uses the value recorded for the DefaultLoadUnloadDwellTimeMinutes INI setting.

    4. If the DefaultLoadUnloadDwellTimeMinutes setting does not exist in your INI file, the system will use the default dwell time of 30 minutes for each stop.

[FuelDispatch]UseCompanyCreditHoldStatus

Options

  • No (default)
Do not check the credit status assignment of the Bill To on the order.

  • Yes
Check the credit status assignment of the Bill To on the order.

When this option is used, the system will:

    • Allow the saving of an order when the Bill To on the order has a credit check status at the OK level.

    • Not allow an order to be saved when the Bill To on the order has a credit check status at the Prevent level.

Require the user to enter an override reason before allowing an order to be saved when the Bill To on the order has a credit check status at the Warn level.

Additional Notes

Credit statuses are defined using the CreditHoldStatus label. The status’s Code field value determines its level of severity. Three basic levels are used by the system:

  • OK
The option’s Code value is 1-99

  • Warn
    The option’s Code value is between 100 - 900

  • Prevent
The option’s Code field is value higher than 900.

    3. This feature requires you to have ALK’s HazMat add-on module and either PC*MILER or PC*MILER|Streets.

[MileageInterface]HazMatLookupMode

Applies to

TMWSuite, Fuel Dispatch

Description

This setting tells the system how to determine the hazard level for a commodity, which will affect the routing and the mileage for the order on which the commodity is recorded.

Note: This setting is applicable only when the system is set up to use ALK’s hazardous routing options, i.e., the HazMatMileageLookups setting in the General Info Table has a value of Y in the String1 field.

Options

  • FgtClass (default)
The system will use the commodity class recorded in the Fgt Class field in the commodity’s profile to determine its hazard level.

Note: Commodity classes are set up in the Add/Maintain Commodity Class window in Commodity File Maintenance. To identify the hazardous level for a commodity class, make the appropriate selection in the class’s ALKHazLevel field.

  • CmdHazClass
The system will use the hazardous class recorded in the Haz Class field in the commodity’s profile to determine its hazard level.

Note: Hazardous classes are set up in the CmdHazClass label, accessed in System Administration. The hazardous level for a hazardous class is identified by linking the class’s entry in the CmdHazClass label with the appropriate entry in the ALKHazLevel label. Links are made by recording the value in the Abbr column of an ALKHazLevel label entry in the ExtraString1 column of a CmdHazClass label entry.

[MileageType]Billing

Applies to

TMWSuite, Fuel Dispatch

Description

This setting specifies the number identifying the mileage interface to be used by the Invoicing module. To specify the appropriate mileage interface for the Order Entry and Invoicing modules, first check the [MileageInterface] section.

For example, if you plan to use Rand Shortest, look for the XFACE setting that represents Rand Shortest. Note the number in brackets, and enter that number for the Billing setting, such as, Billing=1.

Options

3 (default)

[Misc] settings

[Misc]AllowReferenceNumberSequenceChangeByKeyStroke

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch, TMW Operations

Description

When canceling an order in TMWSuite or Fuel Dispatch, you can record a cancellation reason.

This setting determines whether an entry is required in the Reason field.

Options

  • N (default)
    Entry is not required.

  • Y
    Entry is required.

    Notes:

    1. If you try to exit the log window without making an entry in the Reason field, the system displays this message, You must enter a reason for cancelling.

    2. The options for the Reason field are set up in the CancelReasonCode label.

    3. In TMWSuite, this setting is applicable only when you have [Misc]LogOrderCancel=Yes in your TTS50.

    4. If you want the Reason column to appear on the Cancelled Orders Log report in TMWSuite, set [Misc]CanceledOrdersLogVersion=01 in your TTS50. To include a report in Fuel Dispatch, add a link using Quick Designer and connect it to an SSRS report; you do not need a separate setting in Fuel Dispatch.

    5. This setting functions independently from the [Misc]CancelLogEntryRequired setting in your TTS50 that allows you to require an entry in either the Requested By or Remark fields on the log window.

[Misc]ClickToCallInstalled

Starting with these versions, passwords that were created without case sensitivity must always be entered in upper case.

Options

  • OFF (default)
System stores password as all upper case.

    Notes:

    1. Although the system default is still OFF, TMW has opted to change the value in the installed TTS50 file to ON. If the setting is not present in your INI file, the system default of OFF will apply.

    2. When you use this option, you can log on to TMWSuite by typing your password in mixed case. The system accepts and processes the password as being entered in upper case.

    3. When using a TMW application password to log on to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and later, you must type your password in upper case. Press the SHIFT key to do this.

    4. If you create a password using this option, but later switch to the ON option, you must type your password in upper case. Use the SHIFT key to do this. This applies to TMWSuite and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (and later).

  • ON
System stores the password as it was entered.

    Notes:

    1. When logging on to TMWSuite or Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (and later) using a TMW application password, you must use the case sensitive password.

    2. Passwords created using this option, will not work if either of these occur. If they do, contact your system administrator.

      • The setting is switched to the OFF option.

      • The setting is removed from your TTS50.

Additional Notes

If the system is set up to use Microsoft SQL Server standards for password complexity, passwords must contain at least one letter, one number, and one non-alphanumeric character, such as an exclamation point. The password must not contain your entire account name or display name.

Click to Call requires that you are using the Cisco® Unified Communications Manager call-processing system.

[Misc]CompanyProductsRule

Applies to

TMWSuite 2003.03_03.0226, Fuel Dispatch 15.10.16.0, TMW Operations 2019.1

Description

When you record commodity sub codes, this setting allows you to specify this information for each sub code:

  • Valid pickup locations

  • Valid delivery locations

  • Suppliers

  • Trip dates

Each sub code can be handled by only those locations during the specified date ranges.

You record commodity sub codes in:

  • TMWSuite’s File Maintenance application

  • TMW Operations' Commodity Profile window, on the Sub Codes tab

See the Additional Notes for information about recording sub code restrictions.

  • TMWSuite
When you save an order that includes a commodity sub code, this setting determines which location and date information is verified. For orders that do not meet the requirements, the system either issues a warning or prevents the order from being saved. This setting applies to orders created in Order Entry and the Dispatch Trip Folder.

  • Fuel Dispatch
This setting is used with the Auto-fill Autoloading method in Fuel Dispatch. It tells the Trailer Autoload window to use the density recorded for the commodity sub code instead of the density of the generic commodity.

The setting options determine how the system behaves when an order includes a commodity sub code. If a match exists for the sub code, its density is used in the Trailer Autoload window to calculate weights. If no match exists, the generic commodity’s density is used.

See the Additional Notes for information about other required settings.

  • TMW Operations
When you save an order that includes a commodity sub code, this setting determines which location and date information is verified. For orders that do not meet the requirements, the system either issues a warning or prevents the order from being saved. This setting applies to orders created in Order Maintenance or the Trip Folder.

This setting was available starting with versions 2019.1 through 2019.3, but functionality was limited to options provided in File Maintenance.

Options

  • None (default)

    • TMWSuite and TMW Operations
No location or date checking is performed. Any pickup or delivery locations set up for the commodity sub code are ignored.

    • Fuel Dispatch
The commodity density for the generic (unblended) commodity is used in the Trailer Autoload window.

  • WARNPUP
When you save an order, the system checks the validity of the pickup from the shipper on the pickup date. If a sub code cannot be matched to the pickup location, a warning appears. The order is saved.

  • WARNDRP
When you save an order, the system checks the validity of the drop at the consignee on the delivery date. If a sub code cannot be matched to the drop location, a warning appears. The order is saved.

  • WARNPUPDRP
When you save an order, the system performs both the WARNPUP and WARNDRP checks. See those option descriptions for details. The order is saved.

  • ENFORCEPUP
When you save an order, the system performs the checks described for the WARNPUP option. You cannot save the order.

  • ENFORCEDRP
When you save an order, the system performs the checks described for the WARNDRP option. You cannot save the order.

  • ENFORCEPUPDRP
When you save an order, the system performs both the ENFORCEPUP and ENFORCEDRP checks. See those option The order cannot be saved.

Additional Notes

  • TMWSuite
Any option other than None adds menu commands that let you set up company product rules.

The Edit > Pickup Locations and Edit > Delivery Locations commands are added in Commodity File Maintenance.

The Edit > Products That May Be Shipped and Edit > Products That May Be Delivered commands are added in Company File Maintenance:

If a shipper or consignee has not been specified as a pickup or delivery location for a commodity sub code, it is assumed that no restrictions apply for that company. No commodity check is performed for that company.

If multiple products may be picked up and delivered for the dates on the order, a window displays the duplicate matches and lets you select one for the trip.

  • Fuel Dispatch
To use the [Misc]CompanyProductsRule setting with the Auto-fill Autoloading feature in Fuel Dispatch, these settings are required:

    • In your TTS50:

      • [FuelDispatch]AutoloadMethod=2, 3, or 4

      • [FuelDispatch]DisplayAutoload=Y

      • [Misc]MaintainCommoditySubCodes=Y

    • In your General Info Table:

      • TrlConfigurationMgtOn must have Y in the String1 field.

      • JurisdictionLicense must have Y in the String1 field.

      • DistanceLookupVersion must have 2004 in the String1 field.

      • DistanceCacheByState must have Y in the String1 field.

      • DistanceCacheOneWay must have Y in the String1 field.

  • TMW Operations
Any option other than None adds the Tools Maintenance > Company Product Maintenance menu command to the Tools menu. It opens the Company Product Maintenance window. Use this window to set up valid location and date range information for commodity sub codes.

Description

This setting determines whether the drop-down list for parent companies is restricted only to IDs for parents. These fields are affected:

  • DivOf/Parent field on the Company File Maintenance screen in File Maintenance.

  • Divis. Of/Parent field on rate indexes in Rate Schedules.

  • Div of Parent field in the .NET version of the company profile.

Options

  • N (default)
Do not restrict the drop-down list.

  • Y
Restrict the drop-down list to IDs of companies designated as parents.

[Misc]ExpDate

Applies to

TMWSuite, V.2003 and later; Fuel Dispatch

Description

When an expiration is created, it is given a start date, that is the day it goes into effect. This setting determines how many days before that date the Priority 1 and Priority 2 warning indicators will turn from green to yellow.

In TMWSuite, the P1 and P2 indicators display in the:

  • Trip Folder

  • Asset Assignment window

  • Tractor/Trip Segment tab in the Planning Worksheet

The P1 and P2 indicators on the Tractor/Trip Segment tab are controlled by the ExpDate= setting for all resource expirations. The DrvExpDate= and TrlExpDate= settings in the [Misc] section are ignored.

Trailer expirations will not affect the P1 and P2 indicators on the Tractor/Trip Segment tab when IncTrlFilterQual=N is in the [Dispatch] section of the TTS50.ini file.

  • Driver tab in the Planning Worksheet

The P1 and P2 indicators on the Driver tab are controlled by the ExpDate= setting only when the DrvExpDate= setting is blank.

  • Trailer tab in the Planning Worksheet

The P1 and P2 indicators on the Trailer tab are controlled by ExpDate= setting only when the DrvExpDate= setting is blank.

  • Assign Driver/Equipment window in Order Entry

The indicator lights are named Hold (P1) and Warn/Note (P2)

  • This setting is not applicable in the Dispatch application’s Dispatch Advantage module. Dispatch Advantage’sTrip Assignment grid does not display P1 or P2 indicators. Before version 2010.09_08.0575, Dispatch Advantage was a standalone, separately licensed application. Starting with version 2010.09_08.0575, Dispatch Advantage became part of the Dispatch application, and is accessible from the Planning Worksheet.

Note: In situations where resource(s) have multiple expirations, the color of the indicators reflects the condition that is most serious. For example, if a tractor has a yellow Priority 1 and a red Priority 1, the indicator displays red.

In Fuel Dispatch, the P1 and P2 indicators display in the:

  • Planning Worksheet

The P1 and P2 indicators are shown in the Resource pane. They apply only to driver expirations. Indicators do not reflect the status of tractor or trailer expirations.

By default, the indicators are controlled by the ExpDate= setting. If the DrvExpDate= setting in the [Misc] section has a value, that is, it is not left blank, it will control the changing of P1 and P2 indicator colors.

The Driver, Tractor, Trailer, and Carrier tabs in the Trips/Resources pane do not display P1 and P2 indicators.

  • Card Planner

The P1 and P2 indicators are shown in the Shift pane.

Options

  • 14 (default)
The Priority 1 and Priority 2 warning indicators will turn from green to yellow 14 days before an expiration’s start date.

[Misc]GlobalLogon

Applies to

TMWSuite, CRM Right, Fuel Dispatch, TMW Operations, TMW Back Office

Description

This setting activates the global logon feature.

Options

  • Yes (default)
Store the current user ID and password and apply it for each TMW application accessed by the user today or until he/she selects the Exit and Sign Off command from the File menu to close an application.

    Notes:

    1. This option requires entry of an ID and password only once a day. Entry is needed the first time the user accesses a TMW application. When subsequent access to an application is needed, the system bypasses the logon screen and immediately opens the application. The user may re-access the same application, or access different applications, during the same day without having to log on each time.

    2. CRM Right does not have an Exit and Sign Off command.

      • If users have accessed the application from within TMW Operations, they must use the File > Exit and Sign Off command in TMW Operations.

      • When used as a standalone product, CRM Right does not allow users to exit and sign off. Once a user accesses CRM Right, the system will bypass the logon screen until the stored user ID and password expire at the end of the day.

  • No
Require the user to log on every time an application is started.

Additional Notes

TMW eManifest does not support this setting.

[Misc]Graceperiod

Applies to

TMWSuite: V.2003 and later; Fuel Dispatch; TMW Operations

Description

Grace period refers to the number of days the system is to continue showing inactive companies and carriers; and terminated tractors, trailers, and drivers in drop-down lists. This setting specifies the number of days allowed. It affects:

  • Drop-down lists in Order Entry, Dispatch, Invoicing, and Settlements.

  • The GRACE setting in the General Info Table.

You can override the grace period temporarily. You do this by selecting the Show Retired Items check box in the Set List Box Properties window. To access the window, go to Tools > Set List Box Property in any core TMWSuite application. The check box is cleared by default.

When the Show Retired Items check box is cleared:

  • This setting in your TTS50 determines the number of days allowed.

  • The General Info Table GRACE setting:

    • Has String1 set to GracePeriod. This indicates that the system uses this setting.

    • The number in the Int1 field matches the number of days specified by this setting.

When the Show Retired Items check box is selected:

  • This setting is not used.

  • The General Info Table GRACE setting values are updated automatically.

    • String1 is set to Apocalypse. Users in any base application can select IDs of inactive companies and carriers, and terminated drivers, tractors, and trailers in fields that use a drop-down list.

    • The Int1 field is set to 999. This is the number of days allowed.

Selecting the Show Retired Items check box does not change this setting’s values in your TTS50. The original entry is retained. Clearing the check box resets the grace period. The system reads the entry for this setting and writes that entry in the Int1 field of the GRACE General Info Table setting.

This setting does not control the ability to look up retired companies or resources in the scroll windows. Resource (driver, tractor, trailer, and carrier) scroll windows let you include retired resources on a search-by-search basis. When using the company scroll window, clearing the Active check box will retrieve retired companies.

Options

  • 90 (default)
Inactive companies and carriers, and terminated resources show in drop-down lists for 90 days.

  • User-specified number of days
Inactive companies and carriers, and terminated resources show in drop-down lists for the number of days you enter.

Additonal Notes

  1. If the General Info Table GRACE setting has GracePeriod in String1, TMW Operations will only use the [Misc]GracePeriod TTS50 values.

  2. It’s recommended that the [Misc]GracePeriod TTS50 setting value and the GRACE General Info Table values be kept in sync for TMWSuite.

Note: The window is available in the File Maintenance and TMW Operation applications.

Options

  • N (default)
In TMWSuite and Fuel Dispatch, hide the Edit > Commodity Sub Codes menu command.

In TMW Operations, hide the Sub Codes tab on the Commodity Profile window.

  • Y

    • In TMWSuite and Fuel Dispatch, show the Edit > Commodity Sub Codes menu command.

Note: When you record commodity sub codes in File Maintenance, the [Misc]CompanyProductsRule setting in your TTS50 allows you to specify the valid pickup locations, delivery locations, suppliers, and trip dates for each sub code.

    • In TMW Operations, display the Sub Codes tab on the Commodity Profile window.

Note: When you record commodity sub codes on the Sub Codes tab in TMW Operations, the [Misc]CompanyProductsRule setting in your TTS50 allows you to specify the valid pickup locations, delivery locations, suppliers, and trip dates for each sub code.

Enter the number of days prior to today that you want the From dates set back.

  • BeginningOfTime
Set the From dates to 01/01/50.

Additional Notes

In TMWSuite, the [Misc]MaxOrderScrollDays setting specifies the max number of days for which the system will search for orders. If the date range resulting from this setting exceeds the specified limit, the system will behave as defined by the [Misc]MaxOrderScrollExceededActions setting.

[Misc]RecordLocking

Applies to

TMWSuite; Fuel Dispatch; Forecaster; TMW Operations

Description

This setting determines whether users will be prevented from editing an order when another user has already opened it. If enabled, this restriction will apply regardless of whether the order is open in the same application, or in a different application that supports record locking.

If the order has been combined with other orders onto a consolidated trip, the record lock is enforced for all orders on the movement.

Options

  • N (default)
    Record locking is disabled.

  • Y
    Record locking is enabled.

Only one user at a time can modify an order. During the record lock timeout period, the order becomes read-only for other users.

Note: Use the RecordLockTimeout setting to identify the number of minutes before a record lock expires.

Additional Notes

  1. With Fuel Dispatch and TMW Operations, system administrators and supervisors can update these record lock timeout settings from within the application:

    • RecordLockTimeout

    • RecordLockTimeoutWarn

    • RecordLockRefreshTimer

  2. If you are using the Fuel TMS Forecaster module, record locking can affect the Forecaster’s Auto Adjustment feature. The Forecaster cannot adjust an order that is locked because a user has it opened. For more information on the Forecaster and Fuel TMS, contact TMW Sales.

[Misc]RecordLockRefreshTimer

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch; Forecaster; TMW Operations

Description

This setting specifies the number of seconds between system checks of the database to determine whether an order is locked. To maximize system performance, avoid setting short refresh intervals, especially where there are many users, since many orders could become locked at once.

Note: This setting applies only if [Misc]RecordLocking=Y in your TTS50.ini file.

Options

  • 30 (default)
The system will check the database every 30 seconds to determine whether an order is locked.

  • User defined number of seconds
Enter a whole number, representing the number of seconds the system will wait to check the database to determine whether an order is locked.

Additional Notes

With Fuel Dispatch and TMW Operations, system administrators and supervisors can update these record lock timeout settings from within the application:

  • RecordLockTimeout

  • RecordLockTimeoutWarn

  • RecordLockRefreshTimer

[Misc]RecordLockTimeout

Description

When you retrieve data in .NET scroll windows, this setting determines whether you will be able to see the Print > All Rows, Print > Selected Rows, and Print > Print Preview commands in the shortcut menu that displays when you right-click in the data grid area. This setting can be used to help ensure the confidentiality of your data.

Options

  • N (default)
Display the Print commands for all users.

  • Y
Do not display the Print commands for all users, including system administrators and supervisors.

Additional Notes

  1. For Fuel Dispatch and Inventory Services, this setting is functional only if [Misc]UseNewScrolls=Y in your TTS50.ini file.

  2. For CRM Right, this setting also affects the Company List and Carrier List retrieval grids.

[Misc]SaveMenuWithFormLayout

Applies to

Fuel Dispatch; Inventory Services; TMW Operations

Description

This setting applies to customizing window and menu layouts.

By default, you can include the menu layout when you save changes to a window layout. Once the menu layout is saved with the window layout, this setting also allows you to reset the menu back to the window’s factory default layout, while keeping the window layout as designed.

Options

  • Y (default)
A customized menu layout is automatically included when the window layout is saved.

Note: While customizing the menus and windows for the application, you can temporarily disable this feature by selecting Toggle Include Current Menu With Screen Layout from the shortcut menu. The green check before the option is cleared.

  • N
Feature is disabled. You cannot include a menu layout when saving the form window layout.

[Misc]ShowResetLayoutForNonSA

Applies to

TMWSuite Add-ins, CRM Right, Fuel Dispatch, Inventory Services, TMW Back Office, TMW eManifest, TMW Operations

Description

TMW customers apply security to windows and grids by hiding some columns and fields, and by making others read-only. However, by default, any user can switch from a customized window or data grid layout back to the system default by right-clicking on the layout and selecting Reset Layout from the shortcut menu. This can be problematic because the system default has no security applied to it. As a result, users will be able to view or make entries in fields or columns that your company wants to be hidden or read-only.

You can use the ShowResetLayoutForNonSA INI setting to hide the Reset Layout menu selection for users who are not system administrators.

Options

  • Y (default)

  • Y

    Notes:

    1. When you use this option, the [Misc]GlobalLogon setting in the section of the TTS50.ini file is ignored.

    2. To log in to TMWSuite with Windows Authentication successfully, you must first record the user’s Windows login (network login) in the following places:

      • The Windows Login field in the user’s profile
You must enter the login information using the DOMAIN\User format. For example: tmwsystems\jsing.

      • The Logins folder on your SQL server that houses your TMWSuite database
You must enter the login information using the DOMAIN\User format. For example: tmwsystems\jsing.

      • The [INIPATH] section of the TTS50.ini file, in the form User Login=Path to local INI file

Your TTSlocal.ini file specifies the TMWSuite database to use and the Microsoft SQL server on which the database resides.

If you have only one database and the TTSlocal.ini file is located in the same directory as the TMWSuite executables, you do not need to make any [INIPATH] entries in the TTS50.ini file. TMWSuite will automatically look in the TTSlocal.ini for the database location.
