2018.2

A PDF version of the complete 2018 release notes, including resolved issues, is available here.

2018.2 SP5

Resolved issues

  • FS-201958
When you changed the volume and assigned a driver at the same time, the Source field value showed Locked Volume (LCKVOL). This occurred even when you had [InventoryService]ForecastPLNStatus=Locked in your TTS50. In addition, all Freight grid volumes reset to 0 (zero) when you planned stops and assigned a driver in the Stops grid.

2018.2 SP4

Resolved issues

  • FS-201796
The Forecast Order Review window was producing an Index out of Range error. This happened when you selected the Reviewed checkbox for one or more companies, saved your changes, and then repeated the process for multiple companies.

  • FS-201851
The Forecaster was modifying delivery times on orders that should have been locked. This happened when you had [InventoryService]ForecastPLNStatus=Locked and [InventoryService]ForecastDSPStatus=Locked in your TTS50. The system changed the order source status to Locked Volume (LCKVOL) instead of Forecast (FRCST) when you changed the volume on the order. Forecasted orders in Planned, Dispatched, or Started status were affected. Started orders are locked by default. Now when you change an order’s volume, the order source remains LCKVOL if your INI settings are set to the Locked option or when the order status is Started (STD).

2018.2 SP2

Resolved issues

  • FS-201496
A slow performance issue in Call On Demand Order Entry made order retrieval take up to six seconds.

  • FS-201497
Call On Demand Order Entry was ignoring the Bill To relationship mode. If you had OERRelationMOde=2, the list of companies you could select showed companies that did not have a defined relationship with the Bill To.

  • FS-201499
When making a volume change on an order in the Dispatch Dashboard, the system made the change, but then forecasted orders with zero (0) volumes. These orders replaced some orders that were previously single delivery orders.

  • FS-201502
When dragging a single tank delivery order from the Avl. Orders grid in the Card Planner or Planning Worksheet, the gallons listed on the order changed to zero (0) gallons.

  • FS-201518
In Call On Demand Order Entry, the Account Of field did not restrict the list of company IDs to those specified in the AccountOf tab in the Company Relations Profile.

2018.2 SP

Resolved issues

  • FS-201950

Warnings

Social Security number encryption warning

Starting in version 2020.4, Social Security numbers you enter in the Driver profile are encrypted in the database by default.

Having encrypted Social Security numbers could interfere with third-party applications accessing the data. This happens because the data is encrypted when transferred. The third-party application would not have the ability to decrypt it.

You can set up the system so that the Social Security numbers you enter in the Driver profile are not encrypted in the database. To do so, set the DataEncryption General Info Table setting’s String1 field to N.

The Data Conversion Administration Utility allows you to encrypt/decrypt a group of Social Security numbers in your database. Contact your Professional Services representative to obtain the DataConversionAdministrationUtilityInstall.msi.

Access and usage of The Data Conversion Administration Utility should only be provided to a system administrator. That utility provides access to all highly sensitive data and should only be used in the explicit instance of needing to encrypt or decrypt the driver profile.

ALK warning

In very limited circumstances, your system could generate incorrect mileages when using PC*MILER version 32 with any of these products:

  • TMW Operations version 2018.2 or lower

  • TMW Back Office version 2018.2 or lower

  • Fuel Dispatch version 2018.2 or lower

  • TMWSuite version 2018.2.0.0275 or lower

This problem is associated only with systems that have one of these options set in their TTS50:

  • [MileageInterface]ExOptions[x]=I

  • [MileageInterface]ExOptions[x]=X

Having either of these options set will cause Practical mileage to be computed as Shortest, and Shortest mileage to be computed as Practical.

This will not affect mileages previously retrieved and stored in the mileage table.

The issue is fixed in the next general release, such as 2018.3 for TMW Operations.

A temporary workaround to bypass the incorrect code is to do any of the following:

  • Use an additional ExOption in conjunction with the I or X option.

  • Remove the I or X option entirely.

  • Install an earlier version of PC*MILER.

Requirements

  • TMWSuite®
You must be using TMWSuite V. 2018.2.0.0275 or later.

  • Microsoft® .NET Framework
Install or upgrade to the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework on your system. At a minimum, you should have V.4.6.2 installed.

The framework must be installed on the FuelTMS applications server, client, and administrator systems before you install FuelTMS. If it is not present, the system displays an advisory message during the installation. Install the framework before running the application.

  • Microsoft® SQL Server®
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later

  • You must be logged into the system where you want to install the FuelTMS applications, and have administrator rights for that system.
Like most applications, FuelTMS applications can be installed locally on a user’s system. It is also possible to install FuelTMS applications on a network drive. To do so, you must be logged into the system where the drive is physically located, and have administrator rights for that system.

  • SQL Server System Administrator rights are necessary.
The installation of FuelTMS applications includes the manual application of a SQL script to the TMWSuite database. You must have a SQL Server administrator login and password to apply it.

Enhancements

Assigning resources and updating trips

Posting load offers in Card Planner and Planning Worksheet (FS-200797)

The Card Planner and Planning Worksheet are load-planning tools that you use to plan and assign trips.

Now you can set up the Card Planner and Planning Worksheet to post a load offer to a driver through TMW Go! Driver. The system shows a load offer’s progress by updating its status in these dispatch board layouts. The statuses are:

  • Offered
    The dispatcher initiates the offer.

  • Viewed
The driver opens and views the trip detail information for the offer sent.

  • Accepted
    The driver accepts the offer.

  • Rejected
    The driver rejects the offer.

  • Cancelled
The load offer cancels when the trip is assigned to a different driver.

Maintaining commodity data

Commodity colors display in commodity-related fields (FS-200738)

Assigning colors to commodities can help users identify different fuel commodities easily. Commodity colors are have been added to a number of windows.

Now when you assign a color to a commodity, the color displays in commodity-related fields for windows including:

  • Call On Demand Order Entry

  • Card Planner

  • Dispatch Dashboard

  • Forecast Order Review

  • Forecast Order Site Review

  • Planning Worksheet

Order Entry

Redirect load functionality added to Call On Demand Order Entry for retains and runouts (FS-200790, FS-200703, FS-200621)

The Call On Demand Order Entry window is used to record a customer’s request for the pickup and delivery of fuel. At times, a driver is unable to pick up or deliver the amount of product ordered due to a retain or runout.

Now you can use the Retain/Redirect window in Call On Demand Order Entry to redirect pickup/delivery locations, modify commodity quantities, and update the Shipper, Supplier, and Account of field values. You see your changes on the Freight and Stops tabs. The feature also accounts for billable and non-billable miles.

Oil Field Order Entry

Warning the user to enter a valid order number (FS-93858)

You can open existing orders in Oil Field Order Entry.

In previous versions, if you tried opening an order without entering a valid order number, the system did not notify you that the order number is required.

Now, the system notifies you that a valid order number is required.

Warning the user to enter the Bill To before attempting to enter contact or reference number information (FS-93860)

In Oil Field Order Entry, you can record contact and reference number information on the order’s Contacts tab and the Reference Numbers tab. However, you must enter the Bill To company first.

Now, the system displays a message if you try to add contact or reference number information before specifying the Bill To company.

TMW Go!™ Driver

TMW Go! Driver is now available in Fuel Dispatch (CR-5, CR-41, CR-19, FS-200730, FS-200731, FS-200732, FS-200733, FS-200734, FS-200782)

TMW Go! Driver is an iOS/Android mobile application that allows Fuel Dispatch drivers to do the following from their mobile device:

  • View information for planned trips

  • View pay data from existing settlement sheets

  • Submit images of paperwork

  • Accept/Reject a tendered load

Fuel Information Exchange (FIX)

FIX now recognizes additional transfer statuses (FS-200778)

In previous version, FIX transferred only Live Load (LLD) and Live Unload (LUL) events information to your FIX partners. Additional retain/redirect functionality was added to Fuel Dispatch in this release.

To accommodate this change, FIX now recognizes these events:

  • RER

  • IRER

  • RDR

  • IRDR

Resolved issues

  • FS-100563
When you open the Notes window from the Card Planner, the window does not load with the custom grid layout set as the default.

  • FS-200232
FIX Orders populate ord_showshipper and ord_showcons on orderheader with untranslated company values

  • FS-200702
In certain instances, the Importer Service Console can create duplicate readings in versions later than 17.50.

  • FS-200763
The Shift pane in the Planning Worksheet does not auto adjust the column height based on the content of the cell. If the cell’s content is word wrapped, the user cannot see all the text. This seems to affect only custom grids.
