Database Utilities Overview

The programs within the TruckMate > Utilities > Database Utilities area should only be used by DB2 Database Administrators and TruckMate Power Users who have received appropriate training. Misuse of any of these programs can result in data loss.

If you feel that you do not have the expertise to do the tasks associated with the Database Utility programs, Please contact Trimble Transportation Support to schedule a DBA to do these tasks for you.

Database Utility Program	Description
Data Purge	Purges transactional type data to delete unwanted data from the database.
Database Connection Manager	Creates and manages the various SQLDirect DSN Database connections available to your TruckMate system.
Database Creation Wizard	Creates an empty DB2 database to use with TruckMate. This is only to be used for specific testing purposes.
Database Switcher	Changes the User ID (as configured in the Security Setup program) and / or the database for subsequent logins allowing you to log in as a differnet user to a different database without closing your original connection.
SQL Execute	Provides DB2 TruckMate database analysis and maintenance tools for TruckMate database administrators. See SQL Execute in the previous TruckMate Trimble TruckMate Online Help system.
SQL Replication Wizard	Assists you in setting up IBM’s SQL replication between two databases typically used for stanby reporting needs allowing you to run Crystal Reports, Command Center KPIs and DAWG queries off of a standby server and avoid impacting day to day operations.
