Adding meter types or fluid types to the system

Before you can track unit utilization (such as engine hours or fuel consumption), you must first add those meter types or fluid types to your system.

To add meter types or fluid types:

Go to Menu > Setup > Meters, Fluids, PMs Setup.
The Meters, Fluids, PMs Setup page opens.

Do one of the following:
Add a meter type.
1. If needed, select the Meters tab.
  The Meter Definition and Meter Group sections are displayed.
2. In the Meter Definition section, click Add.
  The Add Meter Definition window opens.
3. Make entries in the fields.
  
  For details on individual fields, see Meter Definition.
4. To save your changes, click OK.
  The window closes and your meter type is displayed in the Meter Definition section.
To close this window without saving your changes, click Cancel.
Add a fluid type.
1. Select the Fluids tab.
  The Fluid Definition and Fluid Group sections are displayed.
2. In the Fluid Definition section, click Add.
  The Add Fluid Definition window opens.
3. Make entries in the fields.
  
  For details on individual fields, see Fluid Definition.
4. To save your changes, click OK.
  The window closes and your fluid type is displayed in the Fluid Definition section.
To close this window without saving your changes, click Cancel.
